Omarosa Claims Trump Has ‘Mental Decline That Could Not Be Denied’

A lamp could pass a fact check better than Trump.

How does one "pass a fact check"? One either says a statement, and it is either True or False.

I think what you probably meant to say was that a lamp could conduct a better fact check than the media. That we agree on.

When more complex statements are made, true and false is less of a binary.

We are only looking at statements based on their merits. They only become complex if people add nuance, which is what fact-checkers often do.

Sorry. I didn't know you were sensitive about Hillary.

I could careless...Unlike you trump lovers who seem to be obsessed with her...Of course she is no doubt laughing at that Asshole trump and his incompetent gang of goons

I'm not sure she is laughing. I think she is probably more like her supporters who are still crying in their beers and howling at the moon in despair at her loss.

Hardly...We are working 24/7 to remove that idiot trump...Watch and see

Real life requires nuance to understand. "Crime is on the rise!" may be technically an accurate statement because this week there was one more robbery than last week, but in the context of a decade-long decrease in crime it's still a deceptive thing to say.

Spoken like a true Russian Alinskyite.

You are mistaken...It is that babbling Asshole trump who is "tight" with the Russians...We in Blue State America stand against trump and the white trash slobs that support him

Trump is not a paragon of Christian virtue either, but at least he lends a sympathetic ear to conservative Christians.

It's part of his loyal base. Of course he's going to pander to them. I think it's all spelled out in "two Corinthians" :)

Of course she despised conservative patriotic American Christians. That is what the left does.

Liberals fight for the good of the people and the nation, but you hate that. Why do you hate that?

We do not have newsreel footage of Trump kissing and hugging and whispering sweet promises into the ears of Russians for promising to help him get elected or reelected like we do of Obama and Medvedev.

I am happy for Trump to "pander" to Christians. Thank God for that.

Abortion is not good. Gambling is not good. Marijuana is not good. Homosexuality is not good. Lying fiction science propaganda is not good. Atheism is not good. Income redistribution is not good. Coddling criminals is not good. Opening borders to criminals and terrorists without vetting is not good. In fact, nothing about socialism, communism, atheism, radicalism, evolutionism, Nazi-ism, racism, Marxism, hedonism, barbarianism, voter fraudism, or any other leftist ideal is good.

That whooshing noise was the point passing overhead.

If crime is up, then the statement "Crime is on the rise!" is a true statement. Period. There is nothing wrong with adding nuance to inform readers why crime is up, but fact-checkers use nuance as a way of debunking claims and rating a statement as "false" or "misleading." Take for example, a quote the Washington Post fact checked from Trump:

"Since the election, we’ve created in wealth, $7 trillion."

The Washington Post rated the statement as follows:

Misleading. This appears to be based on the performance of the Russell 3000 Index since Trump’s inauguration. This index includes nearly 98 percent of U.S. stocks, but the market capitalization of the top U.S. companies is not a good indicator of wealth gains for the general population.

Notice how the WaPo attempted to add nuance there by proclaiming that the Russell 3000 is not a good proxy for the general economy. Whether or not you'd like to debate this is true is irrelevant. If Russell 3000 companies are more valuable than they've ever been, the claim "we've created wealth" is a true statement.

If crime is up, then the statement "Crime is on the rise!" is a true statement. Period.

Did you literally stop reading after that sentence?

I read every word you said. If someone say's "crime is up," and crime for this year is higher than the last year, then the words "crime is up" is a true statement. I have also stated that there is nothing wrong with explaining to readers that in a historical context, crime is trending downward. But whether or not crime has trended downward isn't the claim.

Oh no...The dreaded "What About Obama" defense of this idiot trump

Bucky, Though I support Trump, however from careful observations he is showing signs of slight mental retardation. His diction has deteriorated significantly and he can't finish a sentence properly. The most leery part of Trump's behavior is that the FSB (ФСБ)(KGB) have been able to convince him that their intelligence data [ FSB (ФСБ) ] is more authentic than that of the CIA and MI-6. This is from a security perspective, and there may be a serious problem that needs critical investigation.

But it is the claim. "Crime is up" is a claim regarding the trend of crime. Especially in context of how it might be being used. "Crime is up! My opponent is not doing a good job on crime!" and the like.

You are claiming that news organizations should not call out deceptive statements just because the statement claims something that is technically true if you cherry pick it out of context.

Don't mention Obama's publicly recorded lap dance with Medvedev when you are attempting to create the impression that Trump has somehow shown a closeness and collusion with Putin even though there are no pictures?

Wait... do you think when people say Trump and Putin are close they mean... physically standing together?
