And remember everyone, Trump promised to make this guy proud. In an interview with him. The guy's lawyers claim no reasonable person believes anything he says, and one of the guys who does believe in him was elected President.

Just let that sink in. It will take some of you longer for it to sink in. Take your time Trump supporters.

Didn’t Jones just go through a domestic civil proceeding where he argued he was/was not a journalist? I’m getting whiplash!

His lawyer stated it was all just an act.

Trump said the same thing. Multiple times.
Truthful Hyperbole.
Sells people a fantasy.
Bashes the media so that when the media reports on his bad behavior, a lot of people won't believe it.

What to do.

In a custody battle, in court, he claimed his public persona is purely a character for entertainment and does not reflect on him or his views personally.

Of course, "they made him do that".

Who would follow a man if they believe he was saying everything was in bad faith.

Dear, God! Now the nitwits have chosen a new argumentative defense strategy:

  • "The BS we utter is literally just that, BS, so shame on you for being so damn stupid and/or intellecutually indolent as to believe it and take it seriously."

Interestingly enough, however, I agree with Jones' attorneys in a manner of speaking. I'm a social Darwinist; thus I am of the mind that one who, before relying upon it, fails to perform rigorous due diligence re: the information that comes their way should pay fully for whatever be the consequences of their having jettisoned the epistemological standards of rigorously sound/cogent analysis. In other words, while one is free to exhibit the qualities concomitant with mental midgetry, doing so is not free. Stupidity, intellectual torpor and ignorance each have a price, and it bothers me not that anyone pay whatever be that price in the wake of exhibiting those qualities.

People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use.

His show should have to air a disclaimer every 15 minutes that states that the show is fictional, is full of BS, and that he is an entertainer making $$$ off of incredibly stupid people.
