NFL player Michael Bennet donned a red cap on Wednesday mocking President Trump’s signature “Make America Great Again" slogan with his own: "Immigrants Made America Great."

The move from the Philadelphia Eagles defensive end comes as the Trump administration faces ongoing backlash over its “zero-tolerance” policy at the border, which led to the separations of hundreds of migrant families. A court previously ordered the government to reunite the migrant families by last Thursday, but hundreds of children still remain divided from their parents.

I was very young when it dawned on me that the NFL had not so much Smith & Jones names embroidered on the back of the jerseys.......

Why do liberals feel such an overwhelming need to lie about Trump? Doesn't he provide enough ammunition without having to invent ****? He's NOT against immigration. Period. He's against those who ILLEGALLY cross the border. What's so hard to get about that?

If legal immigrants come here through chain migration which a big proportion do, that is not fine. As a matter of fact
the separation of hundreds of migrant kids from their parents or fake parents is because the parents have gone back
to the land of their origin knowing to well that through chain migration within a year or two they'll be back here as family
members of the very children they left here. Quite the set-up!

In the sense of all those times we have taken one ignorant back country Mexican hick and then within ten years because of that decision we have another 23 ignorant back country Mexican hick's from the same family plus just one guy who is smart enough and skilled enough to help America now I understand the problem.

I have not made up my mind on what if anything we should do about that.
 
I don't see how the "hat" mocked President Trump - it is factual and accurate, why is it a mock of Trump?

Immigration has always been a tool to keep America White and Christian from the very first naturalization laws to now. I implore you to study the history and science of immigration in this country. It's always been racist, and still is now.

What a sad, sad opinion - it must really suck to live in your world. America was made great by accepting the diversity of immigrants coming to America. And yes, many of those immigrants were white, but many were of other colors as well. Our (America's) history has been based on those in power (typically white), but we have made great strides in accepting those of any color. I feel sorry for you and those you affect!

the formula for entrance. After that you are quite incorrect.

You don't need a source to realize that immigration from non-white countries has increased. However, if you think the racism and tinkering has disappeared just because that has happened, you definitely need a source.

The passage of the law was under the pretense that the demographic make-up would remain the same, and when it did not measures were put in to place to ensure that it was limited. That's not to say we havn't improved, of course people in 1865 wouldn't even taken the chance that the demographics of our country would change. However, that also doesn't mean we still don't dehumanize people based off where they are from.
