This really isn't anything new because liberal gentrification of poor neighborhoods has been going on for decades. I have made a lot of money for myself 10 miles away over in the Ghent & Old Dominion University area of Norfolk. The black folks are being priced out in the name of urban development. The city will condemn a property in a millisecond instead of using alternate solutions to assist the homeowners.
They will keep on shuffling the poorest of black people into violent public housing areas just so the liberals can have their cute little used book stores and coffee shops. The middle class black people are often left to buying a home in Virginia Beach or Chesapeake.
