I'm not surprised to hear this. I'm not sure what could be (legally) done about it.

Turkish-funded mosques in the United States centres for political mobilisation

Mosques funded by Turkey in the United States are not apolitical as Ankara claims but are used for religious and political radicalisation, Columbia University’s Director for the Programme on Peace-Building and Rights told Fox News.

“These mosques are not places of worship,” David L. Phillips said. “They are centres for political mobilisation functioning like madrasas, distorting Islam and radicalising youth.”

One prominent recent investment, the broadcaster said, was a $110-million worship centre in Lanham, Maryland, a place neighbouring Washington D.C. There have been allegations across Europe that Turkish government-funded mosques are being used as intelligence-gathering stations, with potential enemies of the Turkish state identified and reported on, Fox said.

Agreed...

And doing it under the guise of a "religion" is very clever.

To be fair.. the West has done it for centuries via the Catholic Church..

Totally get it. In the centuries gone by.

Here we are facing it again (from another religion being used to push a political and geographical control strategy).

I do not see what can be done except pointing it out, because passing any law to stop this would infringe upon their First Amendment rights and set a dangerous precedent allowing other such laws. As long as they do not incite their followers to criminal activity, or accepting money from criminal organizations, these madrasas are allowed to exist and teach and promote toxic Turkish nationalism. It is well within their First Amendment rights to do so, just like it is within our First Amendment rights to point out that these creeps are promoting Turkish Fascism.
