THE TRUMP WHITE HOUSE PUNISHED CNN by canceling a scheduled Sunday interview with national security adviser John Bolton in response to “bad behavior.” What CNN correspondent Jim Acosta did to merit that description was ask Trump a question at a joint news conference with the British prime minister on Friday. Trump responded by dismissing CNN as “fake news” and turning instead to a reporter from Fox News, which he declared “a real network.”

— Trump’s “fake news” attack was “music to the ears of dictators and authoritarian leaders,” the Committee to Protect Journalists’ Rob Mahoney told the New York Times. And Trump on Sunday declared much of the U.S. news media the “enemy of the people” as he headed to Helsinki for today’s meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin.

I hope this comes to a head soon, Howard. But the weak-kneed Repub House will never impeach Trump. We can only hope for a Blue Wave in Nov. This sham summit will help the Dems a lot. Putin saying that he wanted Trump to be president will make a great Dem campaign ad.

It will all come out in the end, sooner rather than later. Did you see Rosenstein's testimony? He is so pissed. He is also SOOO confident. He has seen Mueller's hand.
 
Don't be surprised if, in typical Trump fashion, he fires Rosenstein & Mueller with a tweet & dissolves the probe. But payback is coming: the NY A/G is after him for his phony foundation tax abuse. I don't think they let you wear super-long ties with prison orange jump suits. He can't pardon himself for a state charge of willfully evading taxes.

He did look confident up there. Confident, and professional.

I think this last round of indictments, "speaking indictments" if you will, may preclude Trump's ability to fire them. I think the politics would be too difficult for Trump to overcome. But I do admit I can't predict Trump, beyond that he always choses himself first.
