Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday that he wanted President Donald Trump to win the 2016 election because he believed Trump's policies would be more friendly to the Kremlin.

"Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the U.S.-Russia relationship back to normal,” Putin said, standing alongside Trump at a joint news conference.

Putin was asked whether he directed any of his officials to help Trump’s presidential campaign, but Putin appeared to sidestep that part of the question.

Of course Putin wanted to have Trump win the election because a) he could control him and b) he wanted the disarray & discord in both the the U.S. & in the EU that he knew Trump would generate.
 
Watched the news conference. Didn’t see Putin say that.

Can they show quote where he did? Those types of deceptions are why no one (sane) believes the left.

Why does a world leader having an opinion about who he'd prefer be our next President be of any significance? We know that Trump's win was legitimate. This is just more attempts to delegitimize Trump's win and undermine his duly-elected position, by implying that somehow, Putin chose Trump and had him installed.

I saw this quote and thought, wouldn't Putin say that about whoever won?
Does anyone think for a moment that if Hillary won, Putin would tell her he wanted Trump to win,
or vise versa, even if he had wanted Hillery to win, he would say that to Trump?

They’re coming off a very bad electoral week and they know it. Their eyes remain on the prize though, while purity demwits have blown every election this decade since REDMAP 2010.

The trump base sides with Putin over any Democrat. Just ask them, especially in real life. When the economy turns south 2nd half this year — we’ll see.

Trump won because Hillary was a crap candidate who thought she was owed the Presidency.
He won because he out-campaigned the living crap out of Hillary.
She blew it because she wouldn't, or couldn't, do what it takes to win.
