There's lots of aspects to the fbi involvement I find very puzzling.

They very much come of as appearing to be hiding something.
They are very brazen about it
Congress is doing next to nothing to stop it
How do you interview people when the fbi hasn't turned over all the documents?
Why hasn't people been put in jail for failure to comply with congressional requests?
Why was Lisa page allowed to delay her testimony to a point after strzok gave public testimony?

So many questions about this investigation

Well, Gowdy's a lawyer, so I kind of expected his exchanges with Strzok to be testy. And, as I've already stated, Gowdy at least was asking questions and not engaging in the sort of political demagoguery I saw from every Democrat.

Right, but notice that some congressmen were asking questions concerning fact (e.g., How many witnesses did you interview after such and such a date?) while others were asking nonsensical, rhetorical questions in an attempt to score political brownie points.

I didn't say it was just the Democrats. I thought Gohmert was out of line with his reference to Strzok's affair. I'm just saying I didn't see the Democrats attempting to gain a better, factual understanding of what happened. It was all political grandstanding. Objective observers would see that. These idiots could learn a lot about bipartisanship and fact-finding by going back to the Senate Watergate Hearings and observing how Senate Republicans like Howard Baker ("What did the president know, and when did he know it?"), Lowell Weicker, and minority counsel Fred Thompson conducted themselves.



(This is how you ask questions at a hearing without coming off as a complete political hack.)

Honestly, at the time I cringed at Trump's comments about these two Gold Star parents. I put his words in the same category as his comments about Senator McCain ("I like people who weren't captured"). Completely inappropriate and unnecessary. But then I held my nose and voted for him because I discovered I'd rather vote for Attila the Hun than Hillary. She was that bad.
