CNN reporter shouts at Trump: 'Will you stop calling the press the enemy of the people?'

Fox news is no worse than CNN, and the Big Three- you are far more likely to see a liberal view on Fox than one on the left wing propaganda organs

:lamo

if you are anything from center left to Shining Path or Trotskyite-Fox is worse. If you are center right to "The Birchers are liberal" right, CNN is worse

You slobbering Hillary haters got a lot of gall talking about "sexist".....What a joke...Like the Air Head Bimbos at Fox

who do you label as Air head Bimbos at Fox?

Faux unabashedly plays directly to Trump, and vice versa.
Collision at its finest.

Speaking out against Trump with a factual basis? No problem with me. Take the foolish trade stance Trump has taken for example. Well deserving of criticism that it has received, as it's little more than a tax on the US citizenry. What takes the sting out of it is the present performance of the economy and the lost missing economic optimism.

Speaking out against Trump on a non-factual basis? (We've seen a great deal of this)
Pushing a favored political agenda or narrative? (We've seen deal of of this as well)
Well, that's little more than gaslighting for their favored political agenda and narrative and is little more than propaganda and political activism.

It's not journalism and what they are presenting is not news.

There's a difference. A significant difference, that some conflate into 'anything anti-Trump is headlined, facts be damned, should be applauded and not questioned or challenged' and that this is somehow 'news'. It isn't.

Every journalists needs to decide between being a political activist or being a reporter of politics. It can't be both, because then it's really neither nor is it done well.

you mean collusion-collision makes no sense. There is a reason why CNN was called the Clinton News Network and NBC =nothing But Clinton and ABC All Bill Clinton.

the last I checked at least 88% of the mainstream (the Big three, Fox, CNN, MSNBC) reporters who covered the last 6 presidential elections voted for the Democrat

Conservatives love to make stupid nicknames for things?

True, there are a number of attractive presenters at Fox News, but if you dig into their credentials, they come with PhDs, legal degrees journalism and communications degrees and substantial career experience, or don't you believe that women can be both attractive, educated, and qualified?
My, how misogynistic of you.

only because you are center left not center right.
No, it's formatting choices. I don't like talk radio host-style tv.

All the so-called News anchors...Idiots every one of them

you cannot even name them? why do I get the idea you really haven't given this assertion any real thought?

Maybe the press should stop being the enemy of truth and the purveyor of BS...

But Mr Acosta would probably be out of a job if integrity in journalism were a requirement.

Have you seen his show? I accidentally watched CNN because it was on at my family's cabin and I turned the TV on while I unpacked. That dude is barely even liberal. He was agreeing left and right with a republican Senator and then thanked him for having a friendly discourse.

But you think he's evil because of his employer? So you don't think he should be given the time of day? Sounds eerily similar to something that happened at a restaurant lately...

CNN reporter Jim Acosta needled President Trump on Friday as he delivered his first in-person remarks on Thursday's deadly shooting at The Capital Gazette newspaper in Maryland.

Trump's repeated attacks on the free press reminds me of what Hitler did after he came to power in 1933. https://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10007655

Then I would suggest that they stop acting as so.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Acosta - Sounds like pretty good creds to me.

The only place where I see a lack of integrity in journalism is at Fox News. Good thing they dropped that 'Fair & Balanced - You Decide' crap. That was the apex of hypocrisy.

They dropped that? What was behind dropping it? Too many Fox News personalities leaving and calling it BS?

This thread is pretty worrying.

I use it to think DP was simply a microcosm of the political landscape, that the idiocy on here wasn’t that prevalent outside...

But now.

How many on here agree that those that speak against Trump are an “enemy of the people”.

You simply have to be ****ed in the head, literally looney toon crazy ****ed from your pinky toe to your end of your hair follicles to believe that’s true.

Do I think that all journalists are enemy of the people....no

Do I think that a majority of them are progressive/liberal and slant the news in that vein....you bet

It is no longer just reporting the news...now it is opinion with the fact....and that is where the media is screwing the pooch

You need to have a divide...separate those that are op-ed from news....keep news as just news, and then let the op-ed people have their say

It is all jumbled....and speculation becomes said as fact...and we get fake news reported

News should be pure of bias whenever possible

Let the guy keep talking. If nothing else, most people will grasp the irony.

i don't watch CNN much anymore, but whoever this is should stop legitimizing him. of course he's going to act like a fool. he's a cult leader, and his job is to say stupid things for his followers. ****, am i the only one who has read this story? :

Looks like everybody is ignoring the Bull**** Fox puts out

As far as I know -- these came from a small, but very vocal group -- mostly just yahoos -- no masters to speak of. You can compare them to the yahoos today (you know, those redneck libs) that spread all kinds of garbage about Trump (golden showers, et. al.).

Oh look, you say "as far as you know" and "small, but very vocal group". As I've told you before, these are lying conservative narratives that a large percentage if not majority of conservatives believe/believed

“On President Barack Obama’s birthday, a new CNN/Opinion Research released Wednesday shows 41 percent of Republicans believe Obama was “probably” or “definitely” born in another country. “

41% of Republicans: President Obama foreign-born - Andy Barr - POLITICO.com

About four in 10 U.S. adults believe that President Obama's healthcare reform law will create "death panels" to decide patients' fitness for care, according to a new Associated Press-GfK survey.

Poll: Four in 10 believe in Obama healthcare law

Now you don't get post any more "magic qualifiers" or falsehoods. And whine all you want but you've simply repeated your narrative and backed up nothing.

Now, why not get back on topic?

wow HT, I must be good, you've pulled out the most cowardly of all conservative dodges. again, Trump is being criticized for his words and actions. That is as thread related is gets. And remember I don't have to put "elected by the people" in quotes.

First off, intelligent and legitimate criticism of Trump is fair game. Take his ridiculous stance on trade for one, and his unpresidential Tweets for another. Fair.

But since when is it that political advocacy, such as many 'news' (political propaganda) media outlets have indulged themselves in (and gaslighting for their favored political agenda and narratives) is being a 'friend' of the people? When really, the people are in need of the facts of the matter, and not political opinion / leanings from what are supposed to be factual hard news reporting?

Seems to me that it wouldn't.

It further seems to me that the 'journalists' in the 'news' need to decide, once and for all, if they are active advocates of political policies, activists, or actual reporters of political news. The two don't go together, and they need to decide on one or the other.
