The court documents also say that workers administering the drugs at the center told children that some of the pills were vitamins. According to filings, one child said “the staff told me that some of the pills are vitamins because they think I need to gain weight. The vitamins changed about two times, and each time I feel different.”

One child was given a variety of drugs, including seizure medications, antipsychotic and antidepressant drugs, and the Parkinson's medication known as Benztropine.

Children said the drugs had negative effects on them, including leaving them unable to walk, fatigued, and fearing other people.

If true people should be charged, tried & jailed, up to and including DHS Officials responsible for these facilities

I don't understand how this facility has been allowed to be open for as long as it has. It's had reports of this and other nasty happenings for years. Should have been shut down long ago. Disgusting.

WTF?! WTFGDF?!!?

It's like they just looked in a medicine cabinet for things with labels saying "may cause drowsiness". And antidepressants? You do NOT just say "oh, ok, eat this".



Takes the vileness to a new extreme

If this actually turns out to be true, that should put who ever runs the facility under a pretty big microscope.

I am trying to look for any evidence that multiple pills are being administered to these children. Nothing as of yet, but that could change within the coming days.
 
Medicating inmates is a common management procedure.
