Nerdist Has Deleted All References To Host Chris Hardwick After An Abuse Allegation From His Ex

Dude you asked one question and then continued to make up fake ages and timelines for them both and compared Chris Hardwick to Roy Moore. None of that helped your case.
Well, I didn't know who he was, and you didn't answer me when I asked, so just threw hypotheticals. You could have just answered it at any point.

hahaha:lamo it's not my fault you didn't read the article and continued to make things up.

It's obvious. There's no reason The Nerdist would scrub all mention of him otherwise. All the writers on the staff were tweeting today, don't lump us in w/Hardwick. We all knew he was a douchebag.

Apparently, the ex has proof that she said would provide if he carried out the lawsuit he threatened her with.

Lets reserve judgement until we see actual proof.

Somehow I find it much more believable that a 40 year man perving on a 20 year old actually did do these things, rather than a 29 year old girl writing this down claiming it's true and making it up. The silence from Hardwick is deafening.

Nor is it mine, as my phone doesnt show webpages very well.

I actually didn't make anything up. It would have drastically changed my opinion on this subject, had this been a charge that happened 15, 20, 40 years ago, as I previously stated and stand by. You're the one that said it doesn't make a difference, which I think is just cruel. I'd like to think, at some point a debt to society has been paid in full.

Your first thought was to make up a timetable and to say that it doesn't matter. You are still essentially saying that if this had happened five or six years earlier when she was 16, then it would have been OK...You have not once yet uttered how cruel it was that he treated her like a sex slave. Your defense of a creep has been noted.

I said IF. If it's something that happened recently, or something from a long time ago. I withheld my judgement, because I didn't know this crucial detail. That's why I asked about it.

My first thought was to ask a question. A reasonable thing, I think. From what was posted, it seemed like it was an old accusation, not a recent one, so I wanted clarification. Is that a sin now?

Well no, she would have been a minor at that point.

I would think that went without saying. Is there anyone that suggests we should treat people like sex slaves? Was that ever a question?
Your defense of a creep has been noted.
lol there was no defense. Nor was I ever condescending towards you. How unfortunate that you feel the need to talk down to another American. All I did was ask a question.

Good luck on that. It's kind of synonymous with Hardwick at this point in time honestly.

Looking at this and speaking honestly...

There's a variety of kinks and relationship structures that I know that follow the kind of situation she speaks of. If they were involved in that kind of relationship (which would make sense with a lot of people I know in the same kind of culture circles they were part of) then a lot of the things that seem really bad and "abusive" are pretty much par for the course and a mutually entered into thing. If she really wasn't into that, but did it just to be with him, then ultimately that's on her.

Now, if that wasn't the kind of relationship structure and setup they had, and he was just acting that way in a generalized sense, then that would be a definite problem. However, there are so many specifics regarding how she's describing it that just screams "this is a kink based relationship structure".

Now the things she's alleging happened AFTER they broke up...the attempts to use things against her professionally and personally to cause problem, that's bad no matter WHAT relationship structure they had because none of that would apply at that point. There's no real excuse if those things end up being true.

This sort of thing gets incredibly complex.
The entertainment business makes it even more so.

My first wife met HER first husband when she was all of 20 herself.
She was working in a men's clothing store, he was a famous Hollywood writer and producer (Red Dawn, Raid on Entebbe, Seamus)

He beat her regularly, about once a week, then would fork over between three and five thousand bucks.
In his mind that cancelled out the senseless beatings, which could be about literally anything.
She managed to stuff all this down for years.
Then she medicated, then I met her...she was definitely still medicating, and putting on a very happy and blissful front.
This was about eight years after they had split up.

Then finally, the medicating ceased to work, and suddenly she was pasting his identity on me subconsciously.
It all came boiling to the surface like a dormant volcano suddenly turning active.
FULL. PSYCHO. MELTDOWN.

A "mutually entered into thing"? Hardly...she was a twenty year old girl and she had just married the guy.
She stuck it out for eight years, then I wound up with her eight years later.

It might have started off that way a little, but what he did during the relationship was wrong regardless of rules. She didn't seem like she wanted it all that much, and it seems like she just agreed to w/e b/c eventually she felt like garbage. She was also afraid of him blowing his top off if she refused sex. That doesn't sound very mutual to me. I understand those types of kinky relationships are usually pretty rule structured. In no way has Hardwick attempted to say that was their relationship. He is denying everything she said and said he never "abused her." it took him 24 hours to come up with that answer, no doubt talking over it w/his lawyers.

If they had a kinky relationship, he should have come out and said it, but as she is a cosplayer and those models are sexually abused more than any other type of girl, except pornsstars, than I expect Hardwick thought she was easy and would do anything he said.

Nerdist is quickly distancing themselves from their founder. Who sold the company a few years ago. Chris Hardwick told his ex-gf that she should be a slave to him:

This is her article on Medium: Rose-Colored Glasses: A Confession.

I suspect that the level of sympathy thrown around this thread would be equal to the number of people who did not watch 50 Shades or read the book.. ;)

I believe the number was, millions if not mistaken.. LOL
