A federal judge in Virginia has again delayed the trial scheduled for next month for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort on charges of tax evasion, bank fraud and failing to report foreign bank accounts.

In a new order dated Monday and released Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge T.S. Ellis pushed back the scheduled start of Manafort's trial one day to July 25.

I don't know how long this trial might last but given the increasing number of charges involved it could take months - perhaps close to or through the midterm elections.

I'm looking forward to seeing the video of Manafort doing the perp walk after his bail is rescinded.

That tells me that Manafort is negotiating terms of his flipping, which takes some time, hence the delay.

Yes, a one day delay will give Manafort the extra time he needs to flip.

Hey, isn't Judge Ellis the one who went on the tirade about how mean Robert Mueller is to Trump, which the citizens of Trump Fan Nation seized on and decided that it was the end of the Mueller probe because of what Ellis said?

LOL. Yeah, he's negotiating so furiously that he needs an extra day... a month and a half from now.

Smart money says Manafort’s view changes by the weekend...........as in thru bars.

The move came at the request of prosecutors from special counsel Robert Mueller's office who said the earlier start date would conflict with a previously set hearing on another criminal case Manafort is facing in Washington.

One day? Really?

Pushing back one day more than a month out feels more like "**** that's actually my anniversary can we reschedule?"

edit: or this

said the earlier start date would conflict with a previously set hearing on another criminal case Manafort is facing in Washington.

lol -- sarcasm doesn't play well on a discussion board.

By "really" I meant, "Is the OP really concerned about a 1 day scheduling change?"
