Fox News host Steve Hilton on Sunday sharply criticized Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in a segment calling out Ross for conflicts of interest with his investments.

Hilton pointed out on his show "The Next Revolution" that Ross co-founded a shipping firm, Nautical Bulk Holdings, that ships steel from South Korea, which is one of the countries that has received an exemption from President Trump’s steel tariffs.

Ross is currently involved in tariff negotiations.

“He’s negotiating over South Korean steel imports while making money from importing South Korean steel,” Hilton said.

'Drain the swamp' was just a campaign tag line supplied by Cambridge Analytica. Trump has no intention of doing that. Instead he's appointed crooks like Ross to his Cabinet.

If he has anyfinancial interest in the company he should be removed from any on going negotiations.

Ross said in his January confirmation hearings he intended to keep his financial stake in shipping because no shipping cases came before his department.

"The research we've done suggests that there has never been a shipping case come before the Department of Commerce and in our case, the vessels are the most environmentally up-to-date vessels that we're going to find on the water," Ross testified.

The committee was on board. Instead of challenging Ross' financial interests, Democrats worked to draw a distinction between Ross' pledge to divest the bulk of his interests and President Trump, who has refused to divest his holdings.

"It tells me that you are committed to doing the job the right way by placing the public's interest ahead of your own," said Sen. Bill Nelson, a Democrat from Florida. And Blumenthal praised Ross for "making a very personal sacrifice."

Weird. I would have sworn I've seen posted here that Fox is in the bag for the Trump administration. I must be mistaken.
