Trump to skip climate portion of G7 after Twitter spat with Macron and Trudeau

Yeah the optics on this are quite puzzling. Brazen actually.

But his supporters wont care.

It’s like he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any support!

But its hilarious how he’s owning the libs! So NATO suffers... his supporters dont have passports anyway.

nope not at all.
unless he shot someone in self defense i would expect him to be arrested for murder just like anything else.
so there goes your hyperbole out the window.

actually i do have a passport so there goes your other nonsense argument.

Trump isn't needed anyway.

I appreciate him stepping aside so that the grown-ups don't have to try to figure out ways to entertain him.

While we all took it up the ass from your last president...……. Those jobs ain't coming back!!!!!!!!!!

The magic negro wasn't so magic, was he. (Words from Mr. Snerdley…………..a man black enough to criticize Obama)

Is there anyone who knows anything about climate change on this thread or is climate change not the point?

You have to get out of the house once in a while...........

You are correct. Trump is not a diplomat. He's not interested in playing international politics. He's interested in getting the best things for the US done. Those other politicians are at a disadvantage because Trump is not playing their game. They don't know how to play his game.

Exactly...and it's such an advantage for American citizens!

You're wasting all that race-hustling on someone who didn't like Obama and criticized him often.

I voted for Bush, McCain and Romney. I couldn't be a Republican anymore when the GOP became the party of Trump. I understand that all you have is "But Obama" since you're trying to defend someone that you know is an indefensible, petulant, ignorant, depraved embarrassment to the country.

Good move by Trump.

There's no reason for him to attend a meeting where a bunch of socialists talk about how much money the US needs to contribute to their pet cause. He's not going to pay.

I suggest they look at themselves, figure out which country has the most money amongst them and see if they can extort a billion or two from them.

Which socialists?

Trump won't get a good deal if he doesn't play the game correctly. You, no doubt, will call that a win.

It's always a good idea to not participate in efforts to increase government control.
Preventing climate change has always been one of those efforts.
And the G7 is no better than the U.N. when it comes to that.
If Trump leaving before the other 6 decide to agree to negatively effect their own prosperity bothers you, look at it in a way that appeals to The Resistance in you.
Or ... Trump is taking a knee rather than pledge allegiance to doomed attempts to stop nature from doing what it always has.

I’m thinking the fish weren’t biting today! Pop a cold one and chill.........

Trump doesn't give a damn what's good for the USA. He cares about the Trump brand, and his ratings. Period.

Whoever steps into the Oval Office next will inherit an isolated and hated country. This specifically is why I voted for Clinton. Love her or hate her, she represented stability on the international scene. I knew full well that with a Republican Congress she wasn't going to accomplish jack squat domestically.

Unfortunately 'stability on the international scene' means more capitulation of the USA to demands from our so-called allies in Europe et al.

Those of us who elected President Trump are sick and tired of a status quo that chips away at all the good things about America and reinforces and/or increases the bad.

His philosophy of negotiation is a willingness to walk away from the table when others will not participate in achieving win-win deals instead of deals in which they win the most. We have not had that before. And so far it has been yielding very good things with none of the predicted disasters so eagerly anticipated by those who hate him. Of course that prompts the haters to go into overdrive in their crazy perspectives which would be enjoyable to the rest of us if it wasn't so sad.

Staying for the climate portion is a waste of time, anyway.

Those countries hate us, anyway. So, who cares about making them happy?

The Greatest Generation veterans would puke in their graves if they could see what Trump has done to their beloved country.

My point is proven.

Trump pledges loyalty to the country that elected him (Russia), and you just whine about how I was wrong because SOME Trump supporters have passports.

They would stand up and cheer, is more like it. They've been puking in their graves for the whole 8 years prior to President Trump's landslide victory.

The Greatest Generation hates communists. They wouldn't piss on the Democrats if they were on fire.

The usual science denying mouth breathers will applaud this but the rest of the world will go on believing in science.
