Re: EXCLUSIVE: Cheesecake Factory Employees Attack Black Man For Wearing MAGA Hat, Witnesses Say
Ain’t you the brave one! Opposing jersey in Philly, you are either lucky or the alcohol had kicked in. I used to root for the DC NFL franchise. The missus was from the Philly area. Before the nuptials, I would visit now and then, (I’m in south VA). She got me an Eagles Training Camp T-shirt as a prank. On one weekend visit, we went to a local sports bar for the Philly/DC game. I wore the Eagle tee and each time there was a positive DC play, I would cheer and such. I’m not sure the locals ever figured it out, got some weird looks.......,
IF the story is accurate, shame on the cheesecake factory for tolerating such unprofessional behavior by its staff
the MAGA hat is provocative. so is my own RESIST shirt. and the fans in atlanta and philly are not taken with my hornets/panthers jerseys at their home games - especially in the rare event that my team prevails. don't like it, suck it. but i recognize that my attire can incite some rude comments. gotta be able to take that if i am going to wear provocative attire. that's part of the game
had the comments been made by cheesecake factory customers, the MAGA hat wearer is on his own. but comments and other inappropriate behavior can never be OK from the staff of the public enterprise
that said, i would welcome an opportunity to hear the story from the staff, itself. when only one half of the version is heard, it tends to be a bit distorted. take the following instance. the NAACP should be ashamed for refusing to admonish the minister/NAACP official who lied about the cop - once the facts were evident:
NAACP president in SC says he was racially profiled; body cam video shows otherwise | WPDE
