Trump could bring North Korea treaty to the Senate, says John Bolton

We already know that the dems will NEVER sign any agreement that President Trump makes. They simply hate America.

That statement is so stupid it does not require an intelligent answer.

Only in your mind. Nevertheless, what are your thoughts on bringing a treaty to the Senate floor for Trump to sign? Are you opposed or for it?

I am all for it, but given that this is Kim Jong Un, I expect that Congress is going to be going through the elements and terms of the treaty with a fine toothed comb. Given the fact that China just stomped a mudhole in Kim's ass a mile wide, there's reason to believe that he actually might be contrite and highly motivated to turn a new page.
Xi Jinping has consolidated and concentrated enough power that he makes Mao Tse Tung look like a Cub Scout, and it shouldn't surprise anyone that he takes a dim view of anyone detonating an H-bomb and collapsing a mountain into a pile of nuclear waste near his border
Kim got a spanking.

Nevertheless, any treaty from the DPRK absolutely MUST be subjected to as much heavy analysis as Congress can bring to bear on it.
One of the things Reagan said that I actually agree with is, "Trust but verify" and in this case it's the verify part that I suspect might be a problem.

I don’r Think trump wants to wait for the senate to examine the deal.

Not mad, I'm in full support of Trump and whatever role he will play or has played in the event of a full on peace treaty. What's disappointing is that the before mentioned peace talks do not truly matter to the Trump loyalist. I'm almost more than certain that the majority of his base would have been in support of him going to war with the DPRK instead of peace talks.
This.

I'd love for Trump to pull a rabbit out of his ass and make this work, but I tend to doubt it for a multitude of reasons I won't get into here. What's pitiful is how all his supporters really care about his political clout and making us eat crow, instead of really caring about the welfare of the nations at risk

It's probably wise to wait and see what happens. From my perspective, not much of anything has happened yet. Freeing 3 prisoners the Norks probably never should have had in the first place, while great, just doesn't move the needle much for me. Dismantling a site they can no longer use doesn't either. The last I checked, the Chinese had a couple of divisions on their border with NK, and I imagine they weren't too happy with the prospect of fallout from that site coming their way. Let's wait and see what happens.

I cannot say I would love it but I am satisfied if this proves to be one of the things he doesn't screw up. Good for him.
It's not going to stop what's coming, though.
But if he succeeds, at least when history reviews him, that might be the one positive thing they can say about him.

Well now. I wonder if Kim will allow US nuclear inspectors to go anywhere and look everywhere. Even within NK military facilities.

Not much of a deal if we can't. To make things even more difficult, Bolton also wants to denude NK of all chemical and biological weapons.

NK will demand bookoo bucks, no US invasion/regime change, no US forces stationed in SK, and no US nukes in SK (total denuclearization of the peninsula)

This should all be easy for the 'Great Dealmaker' right? Right?

LOL, that's putting it mildly.
I bet Xi Jinping had his own meltdown when he got the news, and it wouldn't surprise me if he stuck a pistol down Kim's throat shortly after arriving.

"请问我们有空吗?"

Xi:
"May we have the room by ourselves for a moment, please?"

(personnel all leave)

Xi: (shoving pistol in Kim's face)
"You pathetic Korean son of a bitch! You set off H-bomb on MY border? Endanger MY people and MY army? I will shove you into a car trunk and put you in a giant shredder you tin horn punk! You will dismantle every scrap of nuclear equipment IMMEDIATELY or China will reduce your pathetic little hermit kingdom to a pile of rubble in ten minutes, do you hear me? And ENOUGH with your little squabble...WAR with South Korea ENDS NOW, do you understand, little FAT MAN?"

Kim: (quietly crapping himself)
"Yes, Mister President, I only wish to..."

Xi:
"Silence!! No more talking!! You will return and make peace with your brothers and calm down stupid Orange American Gorilla NOW!
I do not intend to permit you to meddle with China's assets (America) and endanger Chinese economy to make your tiny Korean penis look bigger. Your twenty-eight billion dollar GDP is a boil on the ass of China for 65 years now and I have had enough!
Go now and you'd better get busy dismantling, or else China will do it for you!"

Think about it...
North Korea's 2016 GDP in real terms stood at 32.0 trillion won ($28.50 billion), according to the Bank of Korea data - a fraction of South Korea's 1,508.3 trillion won ($1.34 trillion) in 2016 GDP.

Jeff Bezos could OWN FOUR North Koreas if he wanted to.

Our forces won't be leaving anytime soon. Also, the North Korean nuclear engineer.s (what's left.of them after the test site collapse) have to be relocated out of the country.

Lol. You're hallucinating from all the Trump kool-aid. Besides, all NK nuclear data/blueprints are stored on hidden hard drives. Good luck finding all that.

You must really think the Norks are stupid.

If we can't, we should walk away and sanction the **** out of them. That's how negotiations work.

You're so right about Obama, and him hating America.

Now do you oppose Trump getting a treaty to sign ending the North Korean War?

Nobody hates America more than Trump and his supporters.

Your mental disorder known as Liberalism is noted. Now for a dose of reality. Trump supporters are the epitome of America First/Pro-Constitution advocates on the planet.

What's the matter Sam Troy? Was my answer INCONVENIENT for your agenda?
See, unlike you, I do not have an agenda. I have this thing called THINKING. Sorry if it gets in the way of your white supremacist efforts.

You don't think we know about that possibility and that protocols have been initiated. Pompeo is on the ball with this. Your pessimism shines!

This is great news and and could be a brilliant winning strategy for President Trump, both foreign and domestic.. Lets submit a treaty to the Senate—then the Democrats and GOP #NeverTrumpers have to hand him a WIN—or explain to the American people and the rest of hteam world why they oppose ending the Korean Conflict.

Why should we take anything Bolton says with even the slightest amount of confidence? They guy has been wrong his entire career.

Not a liberal. Why do you hate America so much?

As Bolton said, "It's entirely possible we proceed that way," Bolton said on CNN. "We're still thinking about the different alternatives. I wouldn't want to foreclose the president's options."

It's a possibility, but there are a number of factors that should be considered first.

1. How will the Dems vote?

2. Now will the Reps vote?

In my opinion, there isn't any clear cut answer to either question. Given the willingness of both Dems and Reps to give a no vote on something they want...just to deny Trump an accomplishment...it might just be better to go the Presidential agreement route. If some future Dem President wants to end the agreement, they can deal with the consequences of doing so.
