Nobody is outraged at the prisoner release. I don’t know what filled you with so much hate that you would make this lie up, but it’s very pathetic.

North Korea does this regularly. They act nice to get some concessions. Then they go back to being ****heads again. Have you folks not figured out the pattern yet?

And then there are the men and women around the world who have been jailed and beaten in the pursuit of justice; those who toil in humanitarian organizations to relieve suffering; the unrecognized millions whose quiet acts of courage and compassion inspire even the most hardened cynics. I cannot argue with those who find these men and women – some known, some obscure to all but those they help – to be far more deserving of this honor than I.

Who is "you guys"? iliveonramen isn't on the Nobel board, now is he?

Would you like to try to be honest instead of telling stupid lies for the purpose of cheap hackish attacks on people? Obama said he didn't deserve the Nobel, and just about every single post from someone "on the left" I saw around the internet forums at the time agreed that he did not deserve it.

Naturally, they don't face any consequences for not figuring it out. If a deal is reached, then whenever NK is found to violate it, that will be some other guy's problem. Even mere truthiness no longer matters.





I'm just waiting to see what any exact terms are of a deal regarding confirmability. I simply cannot imagine that NK will agree to the kind of supervision that would be necessary to ensure that they really denuclearized.

Now, the Iran deal isn't as bad as "they" made out. But it wasn't perfect. It's been repeatedly attacked as a terrible deal. So I wonder what our dear leader will get that's so much better. ("Trust me, it's the best deal on nuclear weapons. Good people are telling me").

And yes, I'm skeptical that North Korea follows through with anything.

History proves that skepticism in this regard is warranted, which is why the details of the agreement and what enforceable measures are in the agreement are critical. If all we get is "Un is a nice guy, and I trust him to honor the deal" instead of the tough inspection measures required to ensure compliance then we'll know it's a whole bunch of nothing.
