Duckworth hits back at Trump over Paralympics remark: It's not 'tough to watch

Be honest, while the special Olympics are a wonderful thing, NO ONE can watch for long...except for you virtue warriors, whom I'm certain DVR'd every moment. For God's sake, NO watches the REAL Olympics for long.

Oh...didn't barry once make fun of the special Olympics? I'll seach through the history and read all of your bashing about that.:roll:

Fine, he spoke about it. The tweet was Chris Hays. The quote is the same, and my comment stands. Why does it matter if I watched? I didn't speak about it either.

What you also left off is the GOP organization who started the report did so to prevent Trump from winning the GOP presidential nomination for 2016. When Trump won the nomination, the GOP organization left the project. BTW, Steele wasn't hired as the 'informant' (I use the term loosely) of the Steele dossier until AFTER Trump was nominated as GOP presidential candidate (and after the GOP organization who'd originated the project had left).

While it's a snide remark about people with disabilities, given the actual policy assaults and lack of federal enforcement on existing laws, this ranks low on my list of concerns.

He did, it was wrong, but I think I was consistent in that this was not very high on my list of concerns. I think I also said that I was concerned that the disability rights community was becoming known for being the language police rather than a public policy force.

My life has been enormously successful and full, in no small part due to the fact that I am one of the few of my generation who had the smarts to pursue education.

Real education, not credentials from the Failed University.

The problem for you is that not only do I get better with each passing day but also increasingly the things I have been talking about for decades are getting to be much more popular to talk about because I got educated so I have been able to figure out what matters more than most, and also with increasing speed my predictions are coming to pass which is BTW Iron Clad Proof of my primo education status.

Be very clear that this is bad for us, because I have long been a revolutionary and over the years it has become more clear to me that the current civilization is doomed, and that it will end in great pain.

You best run along to someone you have some chance of understanding.

You are not in my league.

Very well thanks, I got the timing wrong by at least a tad but boy I sure understood the game of burning America down to burn Trump out well over a year ago, well before almost anyone else, but is on the way to becoming Conventional Wisdom.

That goes down as a win.

If only Trump had a great reputation of being empathetic, caring, and/or of being able to express himself in a non-offensive way, he wouldn't be attacked for every little slip-up. Oh well, karma is a bitch.

I agree, I doubt he meant anything negative by saying that...but he made his bed.

This doesn't even sound like a slip-up. When I heard the comments, I was thinking he meant he didn't have the time to watch all Paralympic coverage. There was no indication he felt any kind of ill will toward the games -- just the opposite. Even the gentleman quoted in the story felt that was the case. The senator overreacted and sounds silly.

"What happened with the Paralympics was so incredible and so inspiring to me," he said during his remarks. "And I watched - it's a little tough to watch too much, but I watched as much as I could."
