Comey says he believes the source of the Steele ‘dossier’ to be 'credible

It is beyond comprehension that a Trump would do something like that in Russia where everyone, including his security, knows you are being spied on, eavesdropped, and attempts at compromise are to be expected. People are reading too many trashy spy novels.

The left is content to get Trump out by hook or by crook. I get that. They are willing to say Trump ****ed an outer space alien if it serves their purposes. I get that, too. But this is what the Democrat party has degerated into.

Their motive? To take power, open the borders and then naturalize 28 million aliens and “give you a brand new country”.

he's an incompetent fool. however, i don't really believe that he sat in a hotel room watching hookers pee on each other. what's in that for him?

LOL!!

Yeah...I take it you don't believe the Nunes Memo. You don't believe actual, physical evidence.

Oh well...

Did you believe the Democrats rebuttal memo?

Tu quoque.

Sadism. It was a bed at the Ritz Carlton in Moscow that Obama had slept in during a state visit.

But the question isnt whether or not Steele is credible, its whether Steeles sources were credible.

Steeles sources were supposedly Russian operatives.
So when will mueller start that investigation for Russian meddling which we already knows goes back to
The dnc and clinton.

Look into Steele's career and THEN decide whether he's qualified to state what is or is not a credible source.

Look to Steele's own admission that his dossier was 70% verified. How does a career spook hand in homework that's part unverified salacious accusations?
How pathetic.

The Nunes memo was a list of facts. The Schiff memo was an objection of the Nunes memo...but didn't present any facts. It was just spin against the facts.

I dismissed the Schiff memo.

I don't know. That would make it even more creepy. Someone that ****ed up in charge of the nukes? ****.

That's terrible logic. The credibility of past sources do not insure that current sources are as reliable.

Nor do I. He's a vulgar, reprehensible man, but I find that to be too far out there to be believed.

Voyeurism, and if there's one thing i know is that people are into some weird stuff.

Irrelevant. We know the unverified dossier was used to obtain a NEW FISA warrant.
Parts of the dossier was verified at the time and even more now.

Even it that's true-and I highly doubt it is (because the same non-specific, citation-less pablum gets bandied about over and over again)-how does that make it OK to use an unverified dossier to obtain a warrant to spy on Americans?

What parts concerning Page are true ??

'Scuse you, but he stated what was and what was not (yet) verified. The fact that the man who was MI5's senior expert on Russia said that 70% percent of the dossier was verified (as opposed to American right-wing media's claims that NONE of it is verified) should at least get you to take the claims seriously.

But the question isn't whether or not Steele is credible, its whether Steele's sources were credible.

If an investigator themselves is credible than you should also be able to rely on them making sure their sources are credible.

Can you explain and source which warrant was granted solely on the Steele dossier and nothing else? Or one even partially based on it?

Comey thinks Steele is credible yet the FBI fired him after they discovered he was leaking to the press early on in the investigation over the Trump Dossier. Last night Tucker Carlson gave a good analysis over the original 5 hour interview Comey gave Stephanopoulos. He actually makes the case Comey doesn't really operate in a way that shows equal justice under the law. He's a partisan.

I dismissed the Schiff memo.

The Nunes memo was proven to be full of lies and a deceitful attempt to obstruct justice to the point where Nunes himself could (and should) become a subject of the Mueller investigation...

The issue isnt what you or I believe, but what meets the legal standard.
Steele has no personal knowledge of anything in his dossier. He assembled it from annonymous sources. Its not his credibility that matters.

Thats why the Nunes memo was important.

Its funny-- on this very thread, somebody linked to a SLATE article from last year. That article conceded the possibility that Steele was fed bogus info as part of the larger Russian plot of interfering in the election.
That's why its the credibility of the sources which matter.

Not sure where you get the 70% figure. Steele himself has said his info is uncorroborated and warrants further investigation.

The Cohen trip to Prague has been debunked. That ruins the credibility of the whole thing.

Seeing how the dossier is false, using it all is illegal.

If an investigator themselves is credible than you should also be able to rely on them making sure their sources are credible.

It doesnt work that way.

Maybethe investigator is happy with his sources.
But so what?
The investigator has no personal knowledge.
What matters is the person who does.

Creepy, yes...but if such a video or pictures exist then it would certainly help explain Trump's refusal to enforce sanctions on Russia and Putin's oligarch friends.
