WASHINGTON — A day after saying missiles would be flying toward Syria, President Trump sowed uncertainty about his plans Thursday by claiming he never said "when" there would be an attack.

"Could be very soon or not so soon at all!" Trump said in a tweet in which he also claimed success in the fight against the Islamic State in Syria and elsewhere, but said he was not getting enough credit.

"In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS," Trump tweeted. "Where is our 'Thank you America?'"

Sorry, he's just backpedaling from the previous Tweet that did exactly the opposite of what you recommended -- announced an attack with "new smart missiles." Clearly, some general said, "<face smack>, you can't warn Syria and Putin of an attack." Too late:

It is more likely that his generals, advisors, intelligence agencies and near acquaintances have explained to Trump that the "alleged gas attack" may not have happened at all or was caused by the rebels/terrorists in Douma.

What if that had already been clear to Trump & Co a while back ago but the gas story is being used to achieve the actual goal: get Assad out of Syria, break up Iranian influence, get Hezbolah out and heaven knows what else is behind all that planning.

Various reports/twitter messages from the ME report that heavily guarded planes left Damascus one or two days ago and Assad and his family may no longer even be in Syria.
Who knows what the "grand" plan for Syria is.

Did you forget that trump promised a response within 24-48 hours, and now says that he never said that. Now only is he a liar, but a coward. Like President Obama he drew his red line in the sand and does nothing.

It appears to me that Trump gets his news from the MSM fauxnews that does not have investigative reporters. Also, his advisors of the Bolton category always support the Israeli/Zionist veiwpoint and that is attack dog mode on Syria. I give Trump the benefit of the doubt that he really believes we are fighing ISIS and has been misled by Intelligence Agencies and Intelligence Agency operatives in the Pentagon. I remember when he popped missiles into Syria before and it seems the biggest influence on that decision was Inanka and you know she'll be unduly influenced by Jared. There is sufficient evidence to show White Helmet collusion with the terrorists to question the credibility of their recent MSM allegations./

A wonderful response as he lied and said that he never gave a time frame for retaliation. Remember when he got all heated up about Obama in the primaries for talking about what he was planning to do before he did it, and now Trump has done the exact same thing.
The only difference is that your kind defends trump no matter what.

Has it ever occurred to you that a lot of Trump's tweets are not directed at the citizens of this country, but rather a message to other entities?
His tweets are read by friends and foes world-wide.

Or do you believe Trump's tweets about NK/Kim were for our sheer entertainment?!?
What did his tweets about NK achieve? The North Korean leader wants to meet with President Trump.

Then he lied, and denied he ever said that.
