Following increased calls for common-sense gun regulation in the US, an official with the NRA has called for the killing of those who disagree with the group’s platform.

A board member for the National Rifle Association (NRA), speaking on the record, publicly recommended that US citizens who disagree with the policies of his lobbying organization be shot and killed.

Your quote is incomplete. I believe Mr. Nugent was referring to rabid coyotes:

"So come to that realization," he continued. "There are rabid coyotes running around, you don't wait till you see one to go get your gun, keep your gun handy. And every time you see one, shoot one."

Was he inferring that gun owners should shoot at people who are for gun control? Maybe so.

Does he understand that many of us who are for SENSIBLE gun control legislation still choose to carry?

Bring it. I've been shot at before--won't be the first time.

A day later and not a single condemnation from gun owners, and no response from the spokesperson of the NRA. It's almost as if Nugent wasn't making a suggestion, but mirroring his audience's beliefs.

Here was another gem from Nugent:

“Where are the gun owners here? Don't be ashamed. Your targeting of these so-called "Americans" is necessary. Make it, with Christ's will, a month of pain for liberals everywhere. Don't forget the election is close.”

Hey Dick, good name BTW, don't pretend, Nutty Nuggy was comparing rabid coyotes with people who don't agree with him. Not his first ignorant/insane outburst so this time he tries for a fig leaf to his mental instability.

He claimed if Obama was re-elected the Motor City Mad Man would be dead before Obama's term was over and it would be under Obama's orders... :roll:

Now I've been hunting coyotes for roughly 30 years- have bagged more than I can count. Never saw a rabid coyote- killed quite a few mangy ones I'm pretty sure their last breath was a sigh of relief.

Nutty Nuggy uses rabid deliberately. Ever since Ol' Yeller we accept rabid animals, even beloved ones, are to be killed- no exceptions. it is ironic someone who made his money (and lost it) uses the handle - Mad Man and the term rabid... if anyone exhibits a roll to rabid it is nutty nuggy...

Also proves he doesn't hunt to protect but purely for sport... most of us who hunt to protect shoot healthy coyotes no matter their appearance or actions.

Oh as an aside, I've been shot at and have the scars to prove it- still don't see the need to carry and I spend a great number of days out where there can be rabid animals (far more likely to see a rabid skunk BTW). No for me the biggest nuisance animal I'd kill on sight are feral hogs... :peace

Because we don't play the "disavow or else"game nor do we eat our own; That's what leftists do.

We do not believe in compelled speech nor do we accept undue guilt or blame, we place that squarely on the perpetrator.

In short, I'm not responsible for what someone else says, nor am I required to condemn anyone, nor will I be compelled to engage in any speech of any kind for any reason.

Also, silence does not mean condoning/approval, to think so is rather rapey of you.

That's fine. Any time gun rights people want to pull the "WE'RE JUST RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNERS" crap I can just point them to the total moral failure demonstrated by the NRA and its members here.

Yes, the group is guilty for staying silent while a board member of the NRA just told millions of gun owners to shoot people who disagree with them politically. You're free to do that, just as you're free to demolish gun owners' claims that they're reasonable, when in fact they tacitly approve of sociopathic behavior.

Wayne LaPierre called the ATF "jackbooted thugs" a very short time before the Oklahoma City Bombing.

This sort of rhetoric has been promoted from the highest levels of the NRA for decades.

the person who started that was John Dingell (D-Michigan) after the ATF brutalized an elderly couple (including stomping their cat to death) on a botched raid (among several things)
