Minneapolis FBI agent charged with leaking info to news outlet | TheHill

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed charges against an FBI agent for allegedly leaking secret documents to a reporter, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported Wednesday.

The DOJ alleges that Terry Albury, a Minneapolis-based agent, shared a document on FBI informants with an unnamed reporter for a national media organization. In addition, Albury allegedly leaked a document “relating to threats posed by certain individuals from a particular Middle Eastern country.”

Unknown. No word if this leaker is connected, though who knows. Could be a "lone wolf" leaker. He is being characterized as a whistleblower.

Those classified documents shoot to hell any "level of protection" you might think they deserve.

There's somethin funny goin on with this story: I can't pout my finger on it yet, but something's not right. Espionage sounds right though.

I was thinking about precedence. It's been awhile since anyone in the FBI has been charged with leaking for a long time. Maybe there is a change of culture in the air with Wray's appointment.

Probably would help if traitors like Manning actually followed Whistle Blower process, instead of what they did. Manning should have rotted in prison for life.

If traitors like Bush and Cheney were prosecuted for their crimes, maybe this state of perpetual war would not exist, eh? Instead, the traitor Obama let them off the hook.

It is NEVER a crime to expose the criminal actions of government.
