Blue states sue Trump over census citizenship question

This is probably one o the reasons anti-American scum suck the testicles of illegals. Even though illegals technically can't vote these anti-American scum in office can use illegals to get more representation.

Nobody more anti-American than right wing who hate everybody not a white christian

The purpose of the census is to determine how much representation a state gets. Its why its why we have census. Trespassers IE illegals shouldn't count since they are not supposed to be here in the first place.States shouldn't get extra representation for encouraging people to **** on our national sovereignty.

That is the no. 1 reason and why it's written in our constitution. The no. 2 reason is the allocation of federal funding for education programs in states and communities. There are other reasons such as the makeup of racial facts. It's already difficult for census takers to get illegals to answer the questions.

My answer stands. Taking an inaccurate census is worthless in all aspects.

Which illegals shouldn't get. Therefore states should not get funding to educate illegals.

Decennial U.S. Census figures are based on actual counts of persons dwelling in U.S. residential structures. They include citizens, non-citizen legal residents, non-citizen long-term visitors and illegal immigrants. The Census Bureau bases its decision about whom to count on the concept of usual residence. Usual residence, a principle established by the Census Act of 1790, is defined as the place a person lives and sleeps most of the time. The Census Bureau uses special procedures to ensure that those without conventional housing are counted; however, data from these operations are not considered as accurate as data obtained from traditional procedures.[5]
Again the purpose of the the census to determine representation. So the census should ask who is and isn't a citizen.

Lefties don't want the census to tell exactly who is an actual citizen because in their districts they have a lot of people who are not but want funding from the federal trough for them while allowing them to be counted in their districts.
Well before Obama it was always a question asked on the Census every ten years. So tough stuff cream puffs. You want to give refuge to illegals do it on your own dime. Enough!

Did you read the first sentence of my post? Its a count of people, period!

Did you read what the the census is for? Its for determining representation. So with that in account the census should ask about citizenship so that those people are not used in determining how much representation a state gets.

Its still a count of people, the census doesnt say which people to count or not to count. Its a count of all people.

But the illegals are HERE. It's not like they only group together to have 'illegals only' classrooms. So what you really want to do is punish the poorer kids for having illegals in their classes, as well as the illegals themselves. I can't say what I think of you.

I want to not reward states for encouraging illegal immigration, I want to encourage people that are here illegally to go back to their countries. You do that by not allowing them to benefit from illegal immigration. Which means only allowing funds for kids who are American citizens or green card holders. You also do that by making sure states can't gain representation for people who have no legal right to be here.

In 1790 they never could have anticipated the hordes of non English speakers invading American lands.
In the words of one of the most important of all the founders:

'John Jay looked about and saw a country of common blood, faith, languauge,
history, customs, culture & principles.

'Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people, descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to
the same principles of government & similar in manners & customs.

This country & these peoples seem to have been made for each other, united to each other
by the strongest ties, should never be split into a number of unsocial, jealous & alien sovereignties.’

The principle established by the Census Act of 1790 never was intended to include squatters'
even you must be aware of that. It's an easy one!

Since everybody that lives here pays federal/state taxes, receives federal/state services etc, everybody should be counted.

Nail hammered! The more uncounted illegal aliens, the longer CA. stays blue. That's why CA. is suing the federal government. Not for any other reason that the reason you mentioned above; Representation.

It's not just representation that is determined by the Census. The census also dictates where and to whom the federal government doles out over 650 billion dollars each year. Illegal aliens tend to live in large blue urban areas. The greater the population figures due to the counting of illegal aliens, the more political power and bacon such states can bring in.

Kinda' like what I said but with different words, but yeah, glad to see you agree with me.

I respect your opinion and your post makes sense. There must be plenty of ways to achieve what you want without throwing off the census, which will not do anything to advance your immigration concerns.

We have been told that illegals are in the fields doing work that American's won't do. Not that many fields in urban areas.

Simply asking are you a citizen or immigrant does not in any way effect that census count.

We all remember their memo leak - talking about how noncitizens are vital to their re-election campaigns,

END OF STORY.

Just what does that question accomplish

Again the purpose of the census is to determine representation. The question would be used to determine representation

People who are here illegally should not be count and not be used to get states extra representation.
