Trump reportedly defied warning from security team not to congratulate Putin

Donald Trump reportedly defied a specific warning from his national security team in a call in which he congratulated Vladimir Putin on his landslide victory in Sunday’s elections.

Trump’s move to congratulate Putin for securing a fourth term in power drew swift criticism for breaking a taboo among western leaders.

Trump loves dictators & likely wants to be one himself. He liked the sound of 'President for life.'

We wonder what Putin has on Trump. T he Steele Dossier paints a pretty clear picture of Putin grooming Trump for years. He has succeeded in installing Trump & destabiling our country. He must be laughing his a** off when he hung up after Trump's a** kissing call.
 
What could Putin have that’s worse than anything we have already heard?

I mean, the pee tape might be bad, but after the whole Stormy thing...

As they say with career-enders , it’s either a dead girl or a live boy.

But I don’t think a live boy is likely, and a dead girl is a little hard to picture.

I’m guessing it’s Trump in flagrante with Ivanka. That would be something even Trump would feel shame for.

The "taboo" must be a fairly recent development. President Obama had called Mr. Putin to congratulate him upon the occasion of his election in 2012.

Almost 20 years ago, the COP controlled Congress tried to impeach a U.S. president because he lied about getting a BJ from an intern. Five years ago, my governor had to resign because he used high-priced prostitutes. Around the same time, the Gov. of S. Carolina resigned because he was having an extramarital affair.

Nowwe learn, Trump had an "affair" with a porn actress when his wife just gave birth to his son and then paid the actress hush money to the tune of $130,000. Then we learn that he did the same thing tp a Playboy centerfold. What do we hear from the moral GOP? Crickets.

So, what can Putin have that's worse than that, that would have Trump be Putin's lackey?

I am pretty sure I rubbed one out to that Playboy Centerfold at one point. That Trump got the real thing is grounds for congratulations. But you have to remember, Trump was a New York liberal when this happened so the grandstanding and phony moral outrage of the left is laughable. Particularly after they aided and abetted Clinton and thus cleared the path for any pervert who took office after him. Liberals made this bed, go lay in it.

Not to put too fine a point on it but President Trump cannot defy his own advisors as they are subordinate to him. He is their boss and they serve at his pleasure. They cannot order him to do anything and thus he cannot defy their instructions. He may have foolishly and recklessly ignored their good counsel but he did not defy anyone in the way he conducted his post-election call to President Putin. He may be guilty of wilful stupidity but not of insubordination.

It is absolutely FASCINATING seeing how far the GOP has fallen. We can only hope Trump will destroy it and another party rises from the dust.

But Trump is a Republican and POTUS, and he calls Bush stupid, and the rest of the GOP just sits there and let Trump get away with this? General Kelly suppose to be an honorable man who was going to bring discipline to the WH. Obviously he is not honorable. He's just another Trump toady.

The whole Republican Party can go to hell.

Thanks goodness some of them are finally speaking out against it. Rubio, Flake, and Grassley are three that I saw clips of this morning. More need to do it.

Not really. At the time, Obama said that he looked forward to working with Putin to solve the various problems of the world.

I am not aware that the claim that Barack Obama immediately preceeded Donald Trump as president is subject to debate.
