Donald Trump Jr. and wife headed for divorce, friends say

South Korea is an independent country. They have their own troops.

I don't think South Korea is afraid of North Korea. Would they be inviting Kim Jong Un to SK if they were?

The majority of South Korean citizens don't even want the U.S troops there, so your comment was an epic fail at insulting the President.

Good call Bucky....Most South Koreans would like the US Military to draw down or leave altogether.....They want the US to be a partner in peace talks, not an obstacle...trump "claims" to want to meet , but will he negotiate?...or offer up anything?....Doubtful...Back to don JR...He is a douchebag...Good call by the wife and for the good of his kids

It's difficult to view any of Trump's adult children sympathetically.

Actually Tiffany (the out of wedlock daughter with Marla Maples) is a sympathetic character...She is mostly ignored by the trump klan , I hope she is able to get thru this nightmare of her father and not be too scarred

What is most interesting is that Vanessa Trump did not hire a divorce attorney. She hired a criminal defense attorney. She knows things, and it is my bet that she is cooperating with Mueller.

IDK.. If she is cooperating why would Jr. give her an uncontested divorce? I would think he'd do the opposite.

yea, there are probably some very good reasons why junior would want to avoid having this spectacle heard in a public space, such as a court room, even if russian translators might be needed to decipher the testimony

Schneiderman wants Cuomo's job. He thinks he's another Spitzer without a trust fund to pay for hookers. However, he has his own closet full of skeletons, and more enemies than Spitzer (hard to top). He's been toning down his prosecutorial efforts toward real criminals, hoping to get more support from Wall Street, where Trump has more than enough friends of the moment (as long as the markets flourish). Don't expect Schneiderman to take on any seemingly low hanging fruit political targets. He hasn't forgotten how that strategy sank Spitzer.

And now that Cynthia Nixon, lesbian Democrat, has announced she's contemplating running for the governorship, he just got cut off from the donation and volunteer powerful LGBT community in Manhattan and Brooklyn, he has a problem he never anticipated to keep him busy. Also lingering in his political future is Bella Abzug's granddaughter who wants his job. Even tho grandma was a leading Democrat, Lizabeth is a 5 Towns Republican with much more support than he has from the statewide LE community and the very wealthy Republicans of Nassau County who can't stand and don't trust Schneiderman. The same type of people who got Rockefeller and Pataki their governorships. Lizabeth's long term goal.

NY politics is a tangled web. No less of a problem is the swelling rejection of Democrats throughout the City thanks to corrupt Mayor Bill and his touting of his wife Charlene as his future replacement as he nepotistically calls for her to get a salary for her nonappointed, non elected "duties." Her ties to the nursing home sale scandal is the talk of the town.

And as for being tough, when Schneiderman attempted to come down on the private security industry, claiming it was suborning local law enforcement (meaning special privileges for bribes), he couldn't back off fast enough when confronted with both leading LE community and industry responses. He's as tough as Spitzer, and Spitzer hasn't stopped whining over his own hypocrisy destroying his career, not to say all the enemies the both have made. There isn't enough time for the damage control this fool desperately needs to keep his job or find another political position. The backroom boys want his topknot. He should grow a man bun so his scalp won't be itching that much after the fact. Yeah, he's another "steamroller" joke who also wears black socks. Maybe he'll be able to get a job painting bicycle lanes in the five boroughs.

Trump is toxic now, Republicans are losing everywhere because of him. That's 110% truer in NY, because he was/is a con man and screw the states and many, MANY people out of money... Even before Trump was elected POTUS he was hated in NY and NJ. So your following statement really isn't true. Going after a Trump will only help Schneiderman in NY.

Don't expect Schneiderman to take on any seemingly low hanging fruit political targets. He hasn't forgotten how that strategy sank Spitzer.

But if she is still his wife, she can't be made to testify against him in any of Mueller's findings. IDK, even if she wanted to testify as his wife they may not allow it. But I'm not a lawyer, so IDK..

David Feureisen lawyer profile in White Plains, New York, United States Law.net Attorney Profile

Not quite true. Another media BS story. The NYS Bar Association ethically prohibits Attorney specialization with exception of Patent attorneys. Obviously expertise by any human is limited and law can be complex, therefore we have law firms, and referrals by attorneys to other attorneys whose experience and acumen would be better suited to a client's needs. The consideration for a client's needs is paramount to the prohibition against specialization.

It appears at first glance, her decision may be based on geographical location, her family home is near his office, his reputation among other attorneys, possible prior social contact, possible referral from someone else he may have represented for a matrimonial, whatever. However his law practices as noted in the first link is not limited to criminal law. By utilizing an attorney out of the limelight, she also affords herself and her family of greater media discretion. Intelligent woman. I would not jump to any conclusions about why she chose this particular attorney, nor speculate about her future actions or existing knowledge regarding any investigations or expressed opinions she iterated previously.

Even tho I am retired, I have three different attorneys on retainer. My business and investment interests are still active. One of my attorneys is a top notch white collar crime attorney in Manhattan, partner in a major law firm. He's represented me for more than 30 years, but never for a criminal matter. He also one of the best real property law attorneys I've personally encountered. He has represented myself and my partner on numerous real property transactions and real property liability litigation. Since his reputation is more well known on the basis of his criminal representation, at first glance, anyone represented by him could be assumed to need criminal representation. It would be a foolish assumption. More so since he is also well known for intellectual rights litigation, contractual representation and basic upfront intellectual rights self protection. He also handles some matrimonial work, and family court representation for other matters including adoption, the latter he enjoys and does pro bono. He recently handled a $26 million conveyance of a leasehold for myself and partners. He did an excellent job, and the 14 associates who owned the building on the leasehold were satisfied he gave us the best possible representation. None of them require or required his criminal law services. FYI, my returns are now in the hands of the tertiary attorney who handles my tax planning, and who works with my CPA. In a month or so, he will give me a report detailing my post tax net returns. All taxes and fees will be paid before the net is placed in my accounts.

The basic reasoning underlying any selection of attorney services is to minimize trouble before it happens, therefore reducing attorney expenses.

Under U.S. federal common law, the spousal testimonial privilege is held by the witness-spouse, not the party-spouse, and therefore does not prevent a spouse who wishes to testify from doing so. Complicating the issue, is that she may soon be a former wife, and case law has gone in both directions for required testimony, dependent upon circumstances. i.e. An ex husband who hid illicit drugs in his ex wife's underwear, was ruled against when a prosecuting called his ex wife to testify, because the act was not considered a privileged communication. :) Perhaps she had a busy social life prior to the termination of the marriage?

This is all about asset protection for all of them. It’s freakin obvious.

Well in juniors soon to be ex, I can see that, she better get her share before Jr loses it all in fines, confiscations, and legal fees, good idea on her part. The First Lady needs to get her own lawyer, if she does not already have one.

She actually did hire a lawyer.

A criminal lawyer!

I think that’s pretty telling and portends what we shall be seeing in the not so distant future.

Yes I did. It was a poor attempt by me of trying to be funny.

Humor can be difficult to deliver. Especially written humor without the body language. We all tend to fall on our faces when making this attempt, and I'm not speaking of pratfalls.

Apparently, associating with Trump is hard on a marriage.

Especially at the brink of it all crashing down.

Looks like Trumps remaining closest advisor’s wife has had it.

Exclusive: Wife Of Top Trump Aide Dan Scavino Files For Divorce | HuffPost

40-50% of first marriages in this country end in divorce, the rate increases for subsequent marriages. Blaming politics, and point the finger at anyone in particular is disingenuous at the least. You could point your finger at my friend Monte, he's currently with wife #11. We all thought he'd learned his lesson with wife #3. A lovely Chinese lass who came after him at 3 in the morning with a hatchet, he deserved it.

And here I thought it was just flirting with fascism that did it.

Do you really know what fascism is? Have you read Mussolini? You do know he invented fascism?
