That depends on what the argument is.

If the argument is that democracy is awesome, you are correct. It's a terrible argument.

If the argument is that democracy is the least worst system, you are wrong. Even the lowliest of peasants knew when they were ****ed by a feudalist system, for example. They're just not particularly good at coming up with solutions beyond "off with their heads".....




One hope the concentration of complete morons remains low enough not to cause trouble. But, there is no reason to suppose an uneven distribution of morons. That gives those in the middle more power, as they are the swing/sway voters. So if 70% of people are imbeciles, the 30% are likely to have more control.

Why would the 30% have "more control" than the 70% who are imbeciles? It seems to me that in a democracy, which is largely rule by the majority, the imbeciles would elect their own and make the 30% even more miserable than they probably are now. And whether democracy is a great system or the least worse is not really relevant; imbeciles run it in any case. You are right about the peasants knowing they are getting screwed, but all they do then is elect a different imbecile. And so the cycle of life continues.............. notice I didn't say intelligent life.........

Indeed.

As much as I want to say "this is worse than ever", I know I cannot. We managed to make things worse in the past.
 
I don’t see why Seattle residents should have to tolerate these racist Norwegian bigots. Burn their flag.
