Paul Manafort Accused of Bank Fraud in New Court Documents

How do you know what Manafort has or doesn't have?
 
Manafort is accused of defrauding ($9 million mortgage) the Federal Savings Bank located in Chicago.

Curiously, the president of the Federal Savings Bank, Stephen Calk, was named as an economic adviser to the Trump campaign in August 2016, the same month Manafort resigned as its Chairman.

US District Attorney prosecutors in Manhattan NY are investigating how deeply Calk was involved in procuring the loans made by Federal Savings Bank to Manafort.

The point is even pardoned, he'd still end up in prison. Hence the need to cooperate.

Which means he's guilty if he accepted a pardon. Not to mention if it comes out that 45 was part of the deal.

You keep assuming things not in evidence; namely, that Trump and Manfort colluded with Russia. I think you need to start believing that no collusion exists and that Manafort is the big fish that Mueller is after, not Trump.

What the hell are you talking about? Taking a pardon is an admission of guilt. Whether or not it's Manafort and his money problems or that he implicates 45 in some scheme.

I agree, Manafort is in deep trouble. But so far, there is nothing linking Manaforts alleged crimes to Trump. And if there was some secret cabal between Manafort, Trump and Putin, why on earth would Manafort spill the beans on Trump at this point? Its not like he wouldn't face additional legal issues like, you know, treason. If he has the ability to sink Trump, his best bet is to keep quiet and hope Trump repays his loyalty and silence with a pardon.

I doubt he does either, but the guy is 70 now. No matter what he has on Trump--if anything--I doubt there is any way he can avoid dying in prison no matter what he does. If he rats out Trump for treasonous activities, Manafort will have to admit complicity in that behavior and will only add to charges against him. Manafort wont walk free no matter what he does so he might as well hold out for a pardon.
