x is a variable. y is a variable. Sometimes both x and y equal the same number. Most times they don't. You think that x and y represent the same number but we will not know until the future gets here.

Obviously you understand nothing about linear regression (you'll need to look that phrase up).
The two variables cannot equal the same number, as the units are different for each axis on the graph.
Hint - X is horizontal and Y is vertical - they represent each axis, not just 2 numbers.
Modeling uses linear equations created by data gathering, not just one number as you seem to believe.
Each data point is assigned a position on the graph based on its X and Y value.
These can be thousands or hundreds of thousands of data points bring analyzed, which is why supercomputers are used to crunch the data efficiently.
In short, your entire post is incorrect and shows that your are clueless about linear regression.

Looks like I have given you way too much credit.

Not my fault you don't know what a variable is. Anyway, the point is, just because something happened one way in the past (such as Nixon and Watergate) doesn't mean it will happen again in the future. In fact, Bill Clinton was impeached and not removed from office so, using your same stupid logic, Trump is guaranteed to be impeached and not removed from office. I'm sorry but I can't explain it to you any more simply than that.
 
If Trump has done nothing wrong, what is all this fuss about?
