North Korea WARNING: Kim to RAMP UP threat against Trump with new NUCLEAR tests - Express

His warheads & ICBMs are not yet fully developed & operational & need further testing of both. Read the first post in this thread again if you missed it.

All the more reason to negotiate an agreement that limits further development but allows his to keep what he has. He will not disarm himself.

Depending on how close we get to their border, nuclear war with China may be inevitable. No such thing as a 'surgical strike' when these 2 countries are so close together.

Millitary strike = act of war

Military strike with nuclear weapons = an act of insanity leading to mutually assured destruction

I really doubt that would be feasible. Kim has a plan & moderation or compromise are not included in it.

which would be enough to dissuade North Korea from conducting further tests.

No, it wouldn't.

If you're North Korea and you're already convinced that the Americans want your regime gone, how will you interpret an air campaign aimed at your nuclear arsenal?

Does Kim want nukes to be his shield or his sword?

Both, really. He wants ICBM parity or close with the U.S. Remember, we are still at war with NK. They look at us as the enemy who is threatening them with our fleet & war games with SK.

How do you know since we haven't tried that tact? So it's total disarmament or war? Doesn't that seem extreme?

Good idea. Why don't you run it past Trump, the guy with the bigger button?

So what do you propose we do about it? A preemptive nuclear strike? That would bring in the Chinese whose ICBMs are aready pointed at us. Much of the Nork's strategic sites are near the border with China & the collateral damage would cause retaliation by them.

Well, why did you dodge my questions and you expect me to respond to yours. Nothing in my post suggest a nuclear strike against NK. If you want me to answer your questions you can answer mine first.

Seriously. Multiple MIRV’d warheads of hydrogen bombs, followed up with biologicals to clean up the survivors.

The only question is “is Kim afraid of death?” There is a 100% chance he will die if he takes a shot at the USA, so he either blackmails us or tosses the whole enchilada at us.

The good news though it the media has a new rabbit to chase!

I take it from your response that you are not ok with NK having nuclear ICBM's.

By chance, did Obama,Hillary and Kerry have anything to do with North Korea getting nukes?Certainly it must all be Trumps fault.

That depends.

Is the nuke intended to be a offensive weapon in a upcoming war?

Or is North Korea seeking to create a nuclear arsenal as a deterrent againist possible military actions?

Good point.
Let me ask you. Are you ok with NK having nuclear weapons if they are being developed as an offensive weapon ?
Are you ok with NK having nuclear weapons if they are for deterrent reasons?

Seems the "Dear Leader" is all over the place with his statements. (much like our current leader):lamo
With what I have read I cannot determine what NK policy on nukes is. Offensive or Deterrent.

Why don't we just make an agreement where he keeps what he has and does not build any more? Kim is never going to give up his nuclear "protection".

Sounds reasonable. Do you really expect Kim to live up to any agreement? NK does not have a good track record in that regard.

a US first strike means war with China.

China Would Join Forces With North Korea if U.S. Launches Pre-Emptive Strike

take a minute and think about what that looks like. if you're a hawk, get through your "we'll kick their asses, that's what it looks like!" phase as quickly as possible, and then really think about it.

Hmm... does that mean any nation that is an ally of a rival superpower (or any nuclear weapon possessing nation?) is not to be prevented from becoming a nuclear weapon possessing nation?

what we need to remember is that China is the one nation on earth which wants a hot war involving China and NK vs SK and the US less than we do. it would be utterly horrible for business and for their national development. it's akin to Walmart firebombing its customers. a president who is fit for the office might have navigated the situation that way.

I really hope we don't have to go to war with NK, because of Trump's stupid ass mouth.

I know some Trump supporter's like Trump's tactics, and compare it to Regan during the Cold War, but the USSR and NK are very different. The USSR was made up of many ethnic groups and nationalities wanting independence. They were protesting the USSR, and the fact that they wanted to regain independence inherently made their nationalist uprising a threat the USSR. People within NK are loyal to NK, and are all Korean. The fall of Communist NK is not going to look like the dissolution of the USSR.

If we go to war, it will be because of Little Kim Jong Fattie's actions, not President Trump's words.

We've been "negotiating" with N K since the 50's. Starting with taking weeks to decide where to place the chairs. Now because of inaction we've got a problem.

Yup, this situation seems pretty bad.

But I'm sure Trump would be smart enough to realize it's not okay to go to a nuclear war with NK.

China is quite content to let NK become a nuclear power and exporter. China's main concern is that NK does not either become part of SK, or worse, part of China forcing them to absorb those starving hoards with NK's meager infrastructure smoldering in the background.

I am not so sure that the delivery systems are where the profits lie - plenty of sources for rockets exist.

Is that why the USA uses Russian Made R180 rocket engines?

Except for S. Korea does Kim have a history of aggression against his neighbors? You don't seriously think he has dreams of world conquest do you?

That would bring in the Chinese whose ICBMs are already pointed at us. Too many Nork strategic sites are near the Chinese border. To attack NK would be to attack China. You can't topple just one domino without tipping them all.

China won’t interfere as long as we honor our offer to let have a non democratic government in NoKo. They Chinese do not want freedom on their doorstep. That is/was an incentive to bump off Kim for us.
