North Korea WARNING: Kim to RAMP UP threat against Trump with new NUCLEAR tests - Express

Thanks for not answering the question of are you ok with NK having ICBM armed with nukes?

I don't like it but it is not my worst fear. I've been uncomfortable with nukes for 50 years and 1 more nation with them is insignificant. I don't believe Kim will use them for much the same reason as the other members of the A-bomb club have not for these 50 years. They don't want to die. Trump doesn't think HE will die does he? That is what you should worry about now.

the fact is, they do. So what? In their paranoid way, they see it as insurance against American aggression. They've seen what America does to small countries who don't have a bomb. It's kind of like the NRA argument for having guns n case of home invasion.

Not if we got China's blessing. The last thing China wants is for the NORKs and The United States to get into a full scale war. China's economy would collapse.

They will never agree to it. It would harm their economy ours would crash and we would be done as either a producer or consumer, you know that, right?

How would JFK (A Democrat Legend) respond to Kim Jong moving nukes to Cuba and Venezuela ?

That isn't the situation, and JFK is dead, so the hypothetical question is irrelevant.

Wanna bet he detonates his next in the atmosphere over the Pacific? Watch how Trump handles that crisis. Check it out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardtack_Teak

North Korea has refused to shut down its nuclear weapons development programme despite repeated warnings of economic repercussions from the international community.

Leader Kim Jong-un could now seek to further fan World War 3 concerns with new nuclear and missile test to showcase North Korea's military might.

Dr Matthew Kroenig said: "I think more tests are likely inevitable, unfortunately.

"Kim Jong-un would like to have a demonstrated ability to hold the United States homeland at risk with the threat of nuclear war."

The North Korean leader has been engaged in an escalating war of words with US President Donald Trump, who pledged to ensure the denuclearisation of North Korea to re-establish calm in East Asia.

But Dr Kroenig – who has served in several positions within the US Department of Defense – warned Kim is unlikely to heed calls to give up his arsenal.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News, the Georgetown associate professor said: "I think he wants to demonstrate he has an operational nuclear-armed intercontinental ballistic missile and he is not quite there yet.

"Getting there will require more missile tests and more nuclear tests."

Is this really breaking news?

I really hope we don't have to go to war with NK, because of Trump's stupid ass mouth.

I know some Trump supporter's like Trump's tactics, and compare it to Regan during the Cold War, but the USSR and NK are very different. The USSR was made up of many ethnic groups and nationalities wanting independence. They were protesting the USSR, and the fact that they wanted to regain independence inherently made their nationalist uprising a threat the USSR. People within NK are loyal to NK, and are all Korean. The fall of Communist NK is not going to look like the dissolution of the USSR.

Then you support NK invading SK and Japan and then who knows where next. This is how Hitler started. The world, including both Russia and China, has demanded that NK denuclearize. It is not just about the US and NK.

Is this really breaking news?

That Kim is determined to continue testing to develop his nukes & ICBMs despite Trump's bellicose grade-school-level-playground taunts? I'd say so. With the sad state of the Nork underground test site, his next test may be over the Pacific. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardtack_Teak. Wonder how The Donald will react to this crisis? The world being on the brink of WWIII with unstable American leadership is breaking news to me. Since Moderation didn't move the thread, they must agree.

Just a rinse and repeat of what has been going on for decades. Hardly breaking news.

Funny you are the another person who responds but really does not answer the question of are you ok with NK having ICBM with nukes? Simple Yes or No would do.

Of course the President , or any World leader should using advisors (military and non military) carefully plan an appropriate plan for dealing with NK.

Its on Trump to answer your question and get it accomplished as successfully and peacefully as possible. I don't trust Trump to handle such issues, and that's my point.

If we have to go to war with NK we have to go to war with NK.

I think you really mean you prefer having a coward who couldn’t make hard choices as president

That depends.

Is the nuke intended to be a offensive weapon in a upcoming war?

Or is North Korea seeking to create a nuclear arsenal as a deterrent againist possible military actions?

Deterrent to what military actions? Deterrent to defending the ROK? We haven’t invaded them in the years they didn’t have such weapons

Yes, for the USA position it is up to the President to decide. However any citizen can have an opinion on NK having nukes capable of hitting the USA or any other country. You seem reluctant to state your position.

Except for S. Korea does Kim have a history of aggression against his neighbors? You don't seriously think he has dreams of world conquest do you?

We know that the N Korean has kidnappped Japanese folks.

Its the pursuit of the nuclear weaponry which is causing the problem.

The South Korean govetnment has given credit to the Trump Admin for kickstarting the present discussions between Seoul and Pyongyang.

Of course the Pentagon is brainstorming contingencies. Only an idiot wouldn't. The United States has worked plans for all kinds of war scenarios, including war against England and Canada.

The loss of N Korea would be catastrophic for PRC. The question would be whether war with the USA would be a greater or lesser catastrophe.
I agree that it would be a greater one.

Color me shocked that playground nicknames like 'Rocketman' and recess taunting like 'fire and fury' didn't work out.

And threatening to nuke American cities hasnt worked for Kim.

China isn't going to side against it's #1 customer.

They have already said if NK strikes first, they will remain neutral. If the US strikes first they will take NK's side.

Hmm... does that mean any nation that is an ally of a rival superpower (or any nuclear weapon possessing nation?) is not to be prevented from becoming a nuclear weapon possessing nation?

Hmm. Does that mean a possible nuclear war with China is not a problem for you? Let's stick to the topic. We did nothing when Pakistan and India acquired nuclear weapons and they did not have a superpower protecting them. Why was that?

And threatening to nuke American cities hasnt worked for Kim.

Kim does not have that capability...yet. He needs more testing of both nukes & rockets before he can mount a real danger of a nuclear attack.

We've had unstable leadership for decades? Avaricious, yes: Bush lied, people died. What WMD? What could possibly go wrong invading both Afghanistan & Iraq?

We were talking about North Korea! Jeeeeeeeeeeesus.

We were talking about North Korea! Jeeeeeeeeeeesus.

The topic I replied to was unstable leadership, which is hardly what we need as we face a nuclear confrontation with NK.

If you missed 60 Minutes tonight, there was an amazing spot of Dr. Siegfried S Hecker, a prominent U.S. nuclear weapons scientist & former Director of the Los Alamos National Laboratoiry who the Norks had INVITED to visit & inspect their nuclear weapons programs there on 7 occasions. They showed him their reactor where they are making plutonium. They let him examine & hold a glass bottle containing what looked like several kgs of plutonium. They showed him a modern gas centrifuge facility that had 2,000 modern centrifuges for enriching uranium. That facility, its blue roof clearly visible on spy satellite imagery, has since been expanded to 7,000 centrifuges. They gave him photos of a Nagasaki-type plutonium implosion fission bomb that would be small enough to fit into the nose cone of an ICBM. And they gave him imagery of that peanut-shaped device that he described as a 2-stage thermonuclear device (read H-bomb) that was also small enough to fit inside the nose of an ICBM. They wanted him to see & understand all this because they wanted to deliver the message to the U.S. that they have made rapid progress in developing nuclear weapons & that no sanctions are even slowing them up. If anything, they have accelerated their program to reach nuclear parity with the U.S.
