U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands had a very bad first day

In the spirit of the thread: "There's only two things I can't stand in this world. Those who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch."

How many ****ing tantrums are you going to throw?

Will the bbc work for you, or are you going to get all #triggered again trying to not have to admit how hopelessly wrong you are, again.

I mean really d00d. it's embarrassing.

Turkey referendum: Clashes as Dutch expel minister - BBC News

So far as I can tell, any time somebody challenges or refutes your argument qualifies as a "tantrum."

Where in that article does it support the statement that "Islamic movement" has sent Europe into "chaos," adding that cars and politicians were being burned inside the Netherlands."

Oh wait, is here where you get butthurt because you start a snotty exchange with me and I throw it back in your face. It seems like it is.

Are you now moving goalposts as well? I've shown muslims burning cars in the netherlands, do you want me to expand it to sweden, paris? et al? I mean I know you are used to losing I guess we can make this an epic fail for your enjoyment, seems masochistic on your part however.

For ****s sake. It's so goddamn embarrassing to be a Republican these days.

You know, I'd forgotten (thankfully) about how many idiotic, obnoxious, moronic comments Hoekstra made over the years. Now he's over in the Netherlands, embarrassing us, talking about fake news when his ****ing comments were captured on camera.

God help us.

Agreed- You are aware of Callista?? US Vatican Ambassador- got the job due to being married to the Giant Newt, had an affair with him for 6 years.
I cannot stand the man. Crooked as a dogs hind leg.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...31b34e-6bf5-11e7-96ab-5f38140b38cc_story.html

But if it is good news for the Gingriches, it is an(other) insult to Francis from Trump, who has sparred with the pope over immigration and climate change. Newt carried on a six-year extramarital affair with Callista in the 1990s when she, 23 years his junior, was a House staffer and he, as speaker, led the impeachment of Bill Clinton over his extramarital affair with an intern. National Catholic Reporter’s Michael Sean Winters called it “astonishing that a party that celebrates family values at every turn has a president who is on his third wife and who has bragged about his extramarital affairs and who is appointing an ambassador to the Vatican who had a six-year affair with her future husband while he was still married to his second wife.”

The nomination of Callista is also Trump’s beatification of Newt, who has done as much as anyone to coarsen American politics — and to pave the way for Trump — with his name-calling, demonizing and brinkmanship.

Yeah yeah whatever.

Are you now moving goalposts as well?

Holy projection, Batman. Moving goalposts is all you ever do.

I've shown muslims burning cars in the netherlands

You showed a video of Muslims marching in the streets and an article that did not in any way support the suggest by Hoekstra that the "Islamic movement" has sent Europe into "chaos," adding that cars and politicians were being burned inside the Netherlands."

, do you want me to expand it to sweden, paris?

You mean, do I want you to move the goalposts to talk about other countries instead? No thanks.

So I proved to you the video's relation, you didn't like the source, so I gave you the BBC, and this is the best retort you can muster? You should be embarrassed, but you are not.

Are cars not being burned in the Netherlands? Is that untrue?

Damn, it!

Now, we're exporting this **** around the world?

We're insisting on being the laughing-stock of the world, aren't we?

Look who he sent to Ottawa, a professional wife who believes "both sides" in the climate debate.

New U.S. ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft says she believes 'both sides' of climate science - Politics - CBC News

If you had poled all Canadian women and asked who would be the most distant, most irrelevant woman from the so-called "modern Canadian woman" you would get Kelly Kraft, a back room "influencer" in right wing American politics.

This is where Americans should learn that what they have accepted as status quo in honesty is unacceptable in Canada and European countries. Parliamentary democracies are different, the leader of the country is accountable for every breath he or she takes. The people are used to getting answers and when we don't, we throw out the government.

IF they are not angered at being thought so stupid that **** works, they will laugh...but not in a kind way.

More idiotic hyperbole. You think Mattis, Tillerson, Carson and Sessions don't have their own brains? Prove a time when they didn't think for themselves. Boy that Sessions sure has been a yesman for Trump. So much so Trump wishes he never nominated him. That Mattis, he's every man's Lemming isn't he?

Oh, that makes everything better. The people of the Netherlands are certain to take that into consideration in their opinion of the ambassador and Americans generally.

Everything is OK with the right so long as "the left" are also blame worthy in some way. That's just lowering a standard that's already out of Limbo range. It would be hard to set the bar lower

It shouldn't be this way, but for the last few administrations Americans seem to view POTUS as rather royalty, a king. Some demand loyalty and respect towards men who trash the office of POTUS, constantly violating their oath of office. Maybe this is how it looks during the decline and fall???

This is amazing.

If it isn't viral, it will be. This is hilarious! Talk about deer in the headlights! I loved it while reporters are shouting questions the aide says "if there are no further questions..."

This is going to plague his every public appearance.....Trump just gave Holland a four year running joke.

None of that is new. If you study the FDR years through more than one or two biographies, you will see FDR wasn't only seen as sem-regal, but acted that way much of the time.

I have always found American's fascination with Thew Royal Family kind of odd if not hypocratic. And more interesting still that the US is the only democracy where the leader is hailed into the room with a march theme, just as middle ages kings were trumpeted in.

Even more interesting is the "Jeffersonian" resistance of anything royal, but Thomas would be the architect of the 'palace' in which the president dwells. The fact you call it the "White ""House"' is a nice way of accepting royal attachments while still hating monarchy.

I know this logic **** bothers you. But it's reality cards. you should stop embarrassing yourself like this.

Here is the entire text of the article you just cited. Nowhere does it say that Muslims set the fires. You jumped to an unsupported conclusion. Try again.

Hundreds of cars have been set on fire in the Netherlands over the past few months, often concentrated in a few small areas, the Telegraaf says on Monday. On Sunday, several cars were torched in Vlaardingen, one was set on fire in Amsterdam-Noord and one in Purmerend, north of the capital, the paper says. Ten days ago, two other cars were set on fire in Purmerend. The Gelderland town of Ede is currently grappling with a gang of youngsters who have been rioting and setting cars on fire. However, there have been similar explosions of violence in Maastricht, Heerlen, Culemborg, Reusel, Voorburg and Arnhem, the paper notes. Gelderland fire chief Allard Schimmel said: ‘The financial aspect is just issue. People are worried about their safety. A car fire can easily spread to a hedge, a shed or even a house with unforeseen consequences.’

They purposefully leave out the fact that it was muslims by design. we do it here in the states by hiding the fact a terrorist was a muslim for as long as possible.

You do realize that is speculation upon speculation, don't you? To support your contention, you need facts.

So I proved to you the video's relation, you didn't like the source, so I gave you the BBC, and this is the best retort you can muster? You should be embarrassed, but you are not.

The video doesn't support what you say it shows and the BBC doesn't support Hoekstra's assertion.

Are cars not being burned in the Netherlands? Is that untrue?

Yes. And?

Hundreds of cars torched by muslims over a span of a few months.

Car fires turning into a Dutch plague, 100s torched in recent months - DutchNews.nl

Your article doesn't support your assertion.

How many cars have Muslims torched around you in the span of a few months?

Billions. I feel this to be true because of some videos retweeted. Sure, those videos ended up being fake, but that's not important because I feel they're true.

I know this logic **** bothers you. But it's reality cards. you should stop embarrassing yourself like this.

Look, you could actually be right. There could be violent Muslim riots right now. The problem, however, is that you either link to bull**** blogs and tabloids, or your articles don't support your assertion. THE PROBLEM IS THE SOURCES YOU'VE CHOSEN DON'T SUPPORT YOUR POSITION. If you grasped that one simple fact, we could actually debate it.

Looks like more fake news, the article was pulled

Except that it was not fake news, the only one who was busted for saying fake news was the idiot Hoekstra.

So what did he say:

"Hoekstra's first false comments were made in 2015, when the former Michigan congressman said the "Islamic movement" has sent Europe into "chaos," adding that cars and politicians were being burned inside the Netherlands."

Record breaking number of car fires in the Netherlands

Cept what he said was true, the fact that they are butthurt over it shouldn't make you people ignore reality.

Except no politicians were set alight by Muslims here, and maybe a Muslim burnt a car but guess what, that is what happens in cities all of the time (sadly) it has nothing to do with their faith nor has it to do with their ethnicity.

He also said there were no-go areas where non-Muslims didn't dare to show their face, also false.

So sorry to correct you but you are wrong, that that butthurt idiot Hoekstra thinks he knows better is his problem. he was just burned by the Dutch media and is the laughing stock for a lot of Dutch people (or should I say non-PVV supporters).

Also he was shown to be a big fat liar, claiming he did not say it, calling it fake news. At that point he was also burned by Dutch media for being a liar.

Evade another "I hate Trump" bait thread? You got something substantive which I haven't seen, I'll comment.

Trump is just the side issue in this story, the real issue is why a US ally has to be burdened with such an idiot as ambassador. John Adams stated that he only hoped that honest and wise people would be ambassador/living in that house in the Hague. Oooooppppps, sorry mr. Adams but Hoekstra is neither wise or honest.

Hoekstra, a Republican ex-congressman, won the cushy job of U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands after serving as Trump’s campaign co-chair in Michigan. He worked his way into Trump’s good graces by publicly praising Dear Leader as someone “who learns very quickly,” which tells us something about his character judgment. Hoekstra is arguably most infamous for his dramatic 2006 announcement that “We have found weapons of mass of mass destruction in Iraq!” — thus extending the Bush administration’s string of lies into a fourth year.

I matter enough that you reply to my posts, snowflake.

Riots break out in Holland as Turkey warns it will respond to Dutch diplomatic snub in the "harshest way" - Mirror Online

Here's a link related to that video, so you can cry and throw a fit "horse****" all you want, all you do is embarrass yourself, cards.

YOu isis apologists really need to get a grip.

Which had nothing to do with Jihadism but with country politics. Riots take place all the time, a jihadist riot not that common though. There may have been one but I cannot recall it.
