U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands had a very bad first day

Yes, you are right. If I think about it hard (and I wish I didn't have to), the GOP I feel in love with was the one I first supported, led by Ronald Reagan. It's gone downhill since then, and as of 2016 when they made Trump the leader of the party, it officially started swirling in the bowl.

It started swirlling in the toilet bowl when Bush 45 got elected. Bush had no sense of compassion, and an excess of ego... not as bad as Trump, but he certainly wasn't the man his father was. He learned quite a bit of compassion toward the end of his second term, when he stopped listening to Cheney. It only took several trillion dollars and a huge number of deaths due to war for that lesson to sink in. Bush Sr was very good with foreign policy, but didn't have a grasp of domestic concerns. He also inherited a bad economy due to the attempt of supply side economics from Reagan, and he refused to admit there was a problem, because he was concentrating on Kuwait and Iraq.

Horsey? Cute. Lame, but cute.

Party identification is very important to you. That was obvious when I called you a Democrat.

Yes, I'm ashamed of the Republican Party right now, the ones who have let a reality TV game show host liberal commandeer my party for his entertainment. Too bad. If my posts about it make you cry, then pass them by.

Nice of you to slip in, yet again, of your shame in your party. I'm more shocked that you continue to represent yourself with a group you are a shamed of being a part. I have never associated myself with a party as I form my own opinions and I don't do group think. You bash "your" team and now you are part of the group on the other team. It is only a matter of time before you switch because team labels are important to you.

For me, politics is a hobby, for others an obsession. Obsessive people are those who fall in love with any political party. Nauseating.

Par for the course for another one of Trump's flunkies. This guy is caught in bald faced lies and doesn't have the integrity to admit it.

Watch the video. If anything it's good for a laugh although I am ashamed we have trash like this representing us.

For the life of me I can't understand how people can try and deny things they said on tape! How stupid do they think people are?

Maggie Haberman has said that people who spend time around trump begin to act like him. But they don't pull off his type of behavior quite so well because they don't have trump's unique quality of possessing absolutely no shame whatsoever. So when others, who actually do possess a couple molecules of shame, try to act like trump, the result is really awkward. Trump would never have just stood there in silence as the reporters shamed him like that, but would rather have gone on the attack because he has a perfect combination of zero shame, no memory, a self-created alternate reality and the biggest victim complex in the universe.

This is amazing.

But Ronald Reagan started our decline. He's the one that glorified greed, cut taxes to corporations, allowed financial industry to con and rob people without any punishment. They started the worship of greed and the rich that permeate Republicans today. I watched The Eighties episode about wall street in the 80s, and the Keating 5, and we didn't learn from that. We just let the financial industry do the same thing, again, without anybody being punished when they knew they were robbing people. And guess what? It's continuing to happen.

There is no conicidence that the decline of middle class and the rise of the 1% getting most of the new wealthy started in the 80s with Reagan's voodoo economics. Why is REagan so worshiped by republicans? He' started this robbery of the country by the rich

So what did he say:

"Hoekstra's first false comments were made in 2015, when the former Michigan congressman said the "Islamic movement" has sent Europe into "chaos," adding that cars and politicians were being burned inside the Netherlands."

What is it we're supposed to conclude from that video?

Yes, yes, I know: you don't have to answer my questions because you're a special snowflake who should be able to say whatever you want without being questioned or challenged on anything whatsoever.

So I'll tell you what everybody is supposed to conclude from that video: nothing at all. It shows hundreds of people marching in the streets. No destruction, no violence, and nothing to suggest any connection to the title "Muslims Riot..."

Care to address the OP or are you going to evade it?

Evade another "I hate Trump" bait thread? You got something substantive which I haven't seen, I'll comment.

But, but, Trump says we are being respected once again in the world since he because president!

"You lying bastard" is a compliment in the Netherlands, I've heard.

/sarc. off.

Yeah, I heard about this guy before, in some other article. He had made false claims about muslims in the Netherlands. A Dutch reporter pointed out the falsity. He then denied having said the words he was recorded having said just twenty seconds prior.

A true Trumpster, a true embarrassment.

I think I ought to buy some "**** Trump!" t-shirts if I plan an overseas vacation this year. Don't want anyone spitting in my food....

Enigma does have something substantive, namely, that the guy Trump appointed is a idiot and a liar. Idiots and liars should not represent the United States.

You don't like Reagan. I get it. I do. No, I don't "worship" him. I've never worshipped any politician.

I'm not on a team. How ridiculous can you be? We are individuals, and as such we have a right to speak and vote.

You are triggered. If you don't like my posts, don't read them. Why do you think I care that my posts bother you so much?

"the GOP I feel in love with was the one I first supported".

It must be difficult when your group identity gets changed due to outside forces. I don't have any issues with the change or your reaction to it, but the repetition is the worst part. The Republican party left, you get over it, there are plenty of fish in the sea. As for your obsession with the trigger word, it isn't wicked pissah.

I feel in love with? Huh?

I fell in love (not feel) with the idea of being a Republican when I first turned 18 and knew I could vote. I don't want to be a Democrat.

If you have a complaint with the quote I used, complain to the original poster--You in post #25.

Perhaps you should go independent.

Really? YOu are throwing a tantrum already in your first post to me? You really need to grow up cards. Seriously.....

The video is one of three links, if you want to cherry pick, you will have to do it alone. Go back to your safe space, cards.

Since it's been demonstrated that your video is horse****, do you want to remove that from your argument and move on to the next two items on your list? If you insist on keeping the horse**** video as a part of your argument, then that weakens authority for your argument as a whole.

Yes, yes, I know, my post is a "tantrum." Sure, whatever. At this point you've drenched your credibility in gasoline and set it on fire, so your opinions don't matter to me.

I matter enough that you reply to my posts, snowflake.

I'm not clicking on the ****ing Mirror. Do you have a legitimate source?

What is it with you and your blogs and tabloid rags these days? Did you always link to garbage like this?

But, but, Trump says we are being respected once again in the world since he because president!

This guy is not respected, the Dutch media has been exposing his lies since he was "appointed" and yesterdays exercise is stupidity was once again headline news in the Dutch media.

Now most politicians not going to comment about this because they respect the office but the Dutch media does not have to keep quiet about this and are reporting on it and calling him out of what he is (which is not the best people that Trump talked about).

More idiotic hyperbole. You think Mattis, Tillerson, Carson and Sessions don't have their own brains? Prove a time when they didn't think for themselves. Boy that Sessions sure has been a yesman for Trump. So much so Trump wishes he never nominated him. That Mattis, he's every man's Lemming isn't he?

But for every reasonably intelligent cabinet/government official connected with Trump there are alarmingly large number of idiots/purely politically appointed people who are as stupid as Hoekstra is.

How many ****ing tantrums are you going to throw?

Will the bbc work for you, or are you going to get all #triggered again trying to not have to admit how hopelessly wrong you are, again.

I mean really d00d. it's embarrassing.

Well maybe we should begin a list, since allegedly there are so many.
