Perhaps more ominous for Kushner, and according to the New York Times, federal prosecutors in Brooklyn have subpoenaed Deutsche Bank records about Kushner’s family’s real estate business. “There is no indication that the subpoena is related to the investigation being conducted by Robert S. Mueller III,” the Times allowed. Yeah, but wouldn’t you want to be there when Mueller’s team invites Bannon in to talk to him about the Vanity Fair and they ask him, “What did you mean about Jared taking meetings with Russians to get additional stuff? Like, what stuff?”

That's fair.

To date, wasn't the only meeting between Don Jr. and a 'Russian' was that lawyer who wanted to talk about orphaned kids?

Well he is up for an interview with Mueller. I would love to be a fly on the wall for that one.

It is plausible, but I would need this little thing known as 'evidence'. I trust Mueller to be able to track down any. And of course, the ultimate irony is Bannon talking about someone else 'maturity level'

That was the initial story and then Don Jr. released emails to the public that explicitly showed that wasn't true...

Dude how in the world can your allegiance to Trump be so strong that you ignore his sons own emails that show their initial excuse for the meeting was a lie?

It may not be what he was expecting, but that appears to be what was discussed in that meeting. Unless there's proof to the contrary.

Sweet Jesus. Natalia Veselnitskaya wasn't a humanitarian pleading for orphans. She was long associated with the Kremlin (one of their lawyers) and wanted the Trump administration to ignore/repeal the US Magnitsky Act passed by Congress. As punishment for the US Congress passing the Magnitsky Act, the Russian Duma passed a law stipulating that US couples could no longer adopt Russian orphans.

Veselnitskaya didn't give a damn about Russian orphans, her mission was to persuade TrumpCo to do away with the Magnitsky Act. To get the interview with Trump Jr. in Trump Tower, she promised to deliver damaging information about Hillary Clinton collated by the Russian government. When he heard about this Magnitsky/Clinton quid pro quo offer, Trump Jr. said "I love it!" and scheduled the meeting.
