House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) declared unequivocally on Monday that the GOP tax overhaul is the worst legislation ever considered by Congress.

Pelosi: GOP tax proposal 'the worst bill in the history' of Congress | TheHill

1. When Socialists hate legistaltion, you know it’s good for the country.

2. Pelosi presided over the worst legistlation in modern history. The Careless Affordable Care Act (CACA).

She dropped the all-time bad one liner for bad legistaltion too... “You have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.” Like it’s Christmas or something. Well Nancy, it’s been passed, it’s been lived, and it’s the biggest turd of legistlation we’ve seen in our lifetimes.

Soon... it looks like it will be gutted... in the tax bill... ROTFLOL

Those of us pro-Americans love it when the Socialists of America Partei (SAPs) roll out Pelosi, Schumer or Schiff. Just the faces you want telling lies to the American people.

I wonder where Ms Pelosi would rank the various Fugitive Slave laws in her hierarchy of worst legislation ever.

She'd know, according to some.

This is what I know.... I am in the $50-70k range I pay 25% and after deductions I end up in the 13% range. I have for the last 9 years not been able to claim my Son as hes over 18 and moved out. The most deductions I can muster usually are in the $9,000 - $10,000 range.

Trumps plan taxes me at 25% ~ Same

Trumps plan gives me a based Deduction of $12,000 ~ Which already gives me $2000 more back in my refund which is a HUGE help for my family!

Recheck the numbers for 2027

Lol says the bitch that rammed through the ACA and stimulus bill. If it comes from Pelosi's mouth the opposite of what the crone says is likely good for the country.

Pelosi is an idiot.

“It is the end of the world,” Pelosi. “The debate on health care is life/death. This is Armageddon.”

2000 pages of healthcare legislation and this politician said "we have to pass it to see what's inside." I'd count that as rammed through. Doesn't make it any different, Pelosi and her policies are usually bad for the country, what she says the opposite is likely preferred.

Finish the sentence in quotation marks without googling it.

The ACA was available online for all to read. I read it.

Why do people keep using this quote so dishonestly? It is painfully clear that she is not saying what people who use it that way want it to mean.

Actual full Pelosi quote:

Imagine an economy where people could follow their aspirations, where they could be entrepreneurial, where they could take risks professionally because personally their families [sic] health care needs are being met. Where they could be self-employed or start a business, not be job-locked in a job because they have health care there, and if they went out on their own it would be unaffordable to them, but especially true, if someone has a child with a pre-existing condition. So when we pass our bill, never again will people be denied coverage because they have a pre-existing condition. We have to do this in partnership, and I wanted to bring [you] up to date on where we see it from here. The final health care legislation that will soon be passed by Congress will deliver successful reform at the local level. It will offer paid for investments that will improve health care services and coverage for millions more Americans. It will make significant investments in innovation, prevention, wellness and offer robust support for public health infrastructure. It will dramatically expand investments into community health centers. That means a dramatic expansion in the number of patients community health centers can see and ultimately healthier communities. Our bill will significantly reduce uncompensated care for hospitals. You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention–it’s about diet, not diabetes. It’s going to be very, very exciting. But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.

FACT CHECK: Did Nancy Pelosi Say Obamacare Must be Passed to 'Find Out What Is in It'?

Nevermind that there were many many debates over multiple months on Obamacare. It was not "rammed through" as in sped through. It was ultimately passed via reconciliation, but got tons of debate, unlike this GOP tax proposal, which really was rushed. The only debate was with the few holdout GOPers who wanted more pork inserted at the last minute (literally).

The Dems did bring the GOP in on Obamacare and incorporated a ton of amendments the GOP wanted; the GOP turned around and voted no anyway. The GOP didn't bring in the Dems here.

An honest complaint would be to complain about reconciliation being used this way, but then one would have to condemn the GOP's tax bill just as harshly. Of course, that's not what's going on here....

What's going on here is people defending the GOP's behavior in lying about how Obamacare was passed, then turning around and doing what they falsely accused the Dems of having done.

Why do people keep using this quote so dishonestly?
Because by far most so called conservatives are too stupid to formulate their own opinion, too ignorant to care about facts, so they latch on to the talking points fed to the morons by the Hannitys and the rest of the scum bags of the conservative media.

I would like to make it clear, that as a small business owner myself. I love this new tax plan, its much easier on me then what Obama could manage and that was torture if I am to be honest.

"Rammed through" -- The ACA was debated for 9 months. Everyone had a chance to read it and it passed. The Senate tax cut for the rich bill had no hearings and Senators had 20 minutes to read a 500 page bill -- that contained illegible hand-written portions.

Moreover, the ACA was good for the country. It lowered the uninsured rate to record lows; it allowed people with preexisting conditions to finally get insurance; it covered children up to 26 on parent's health insurance; it made it illegal for insurance companies to have lifetime caps on coverage -- which helped cancer patients.

The Trump/GOP tax plans slash taxes on the rich; raise taxes on the middle class; provide little economic benefits and increases the deficit by over a trillion dollars.

You can ignorantly claim "if it comes from Pelosi's mouth the opposite of what the crone says is likely good for the country," but there is no validity to that statement.

Are you laughably saying that Pelosi is a Socialist? Sorry, that's just a dumb statement.

Your views in this post aren't even partisan, they're just absent anything that resembles facts. The reality is that the Trump/GOP tax bills are bad for anyone who isn't rich -- you know, "pro-Americans" must love. It also deprives the government of a revenue, which will incline the people that you admire, the GOP, to slash Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. But please do enjoy sticking it to Pelosi and Schumer.

What? Surly you must be a Russian bot right? No way you could actually like the Tax plan omg...... lol

Small business owners are going to see a good decrease in taxes making it easier for them to not only operate but expand.
Getting rid of the mandatory insurance clause you can hire more people without fear of insurance costs.

Fact check says you are wrong. Most people will receive a tax cut.
We will have to see what the final brackets are going to be and the. Child tax credit.

Context matters. You want to interpret the quote in a way that it was not intended. You want to pretend that Pelosi meant that we have to pass the bill to know what was passed, when the clear in-context meaning was: There are great things in this bill that help a lot of people but we have to pass it [as opposed to let it die] so you can find out what these great things are.

Hyperbole, thy name is Pelosi. Let’s finally just send her butt home. Anybody got a broom?
