Graham contradicts himself on Trump 'kook' jab

It's so perfect though, because their relationship with Fox news is such that it's 100% synergistic. Republicans win ever time Fox blasts the left and supports Trump. Fox wins due to the extraordinary political connections and power, and they have the president directly attacking their competition from the bully-pulpit. A match made in heaven. Who cares if its unethical and may destroy the nation...it's legal = go for it. Fold Russia in there as a 3rd arm, where legal, and they have a ****ing trinity.

Meh. The media dug this hole for themselves. The only way out is to consistently present honestly again and over time they will gain back their reputation. I do recall when "journalism" wasn't such a hated profession. And it is odd to see how you ignore the operative word when the media gets called out. "Lying fake media" is being called out...Not media in general.

Unfortunately they built up quite a bit of negative credibility with their lack of honesty with the American people and its going to take a while to come back.
It is easy to see a 50/50 presentation as dishonest if 24/7 you get a 90% intentional negative or lying coverage in other organizations...

A crisis in the fourth estate
Byron York: Harvard study: CNN, NBC Trump coverage 93 percent negative

You really think free speech will destroy the nation? Should free speech be silenced? What are you willing to do to shut speakers down?
Burn a Starbucks? Ambush a baseball field? Make a law against free speech? Or is all of this just clouding the issue of not liking what someone has to say..?
Somehow all of that seems counterproductive.

If something like this tends to get your heartrate up enough to complain or as j27 says "Do something" then that might encourage me to find out what the fuss is about and setting up a dvr this week to catch what is bugging you guys..

Maybe Hannity and fox should just tell you thanks for the advertising and send you a fruit basket for Christmas.
"Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity held onto his crown as King of Cable News, beating everyone in the November ratings period with an average audience of 3.2 million viewers, making Hannity the most-watched cable news show for the second straight month."

Last week the fake media actually kicked the dow down about 350 points briefly by publicly lying to the American people. Were you concerned ?

Most baby boomers are computer savvy. They have the numbers to be politically effective - if - like other populations they would rise above their political apathy. I think political ignorance (a lack of truly understanding its framework and processes) is more the problem with a half dozen generations. They believe that they don’t possess any power over government. And no, I don’t see Trump being elected is indicative of change in our voters political ignorance. It’s his being elected more indicative of lot of people being pissed off.

But a bigger, more damaging issue is....

It matters not if politicians get caught lying. Political lies are protected speech (with not near enough exceptions). God knows politicians will scream “censorship. Consequently, our government has been built on lies.

The problem is, like in all propaganda states, politicians have little to no fear in continuously lying. They have little to no fear in giving their allegiance to special financial supporters or to those who offer high dollar jobs, usually in the lobbying or financial professions, once they leave Office.

The question is: Is it possible to root out the truth behind political dishonesty? A truth that’s accepted by all citizens? I doubt it because politicians lies serve as a more effective means to an end. They’ll protect that prevalent behavior, whatever the means to do so.

Every person and institution connected to politics knows the rewards for lying.

I personally don’t ever see having a government that isn’t self-will-run-riot. That will ever act in the interest of anybody other than themselves. Our government isn’t held accountable in ways that encourages it to meet its Constitutional obligations and maintain allegiance to “We the People”. Just not gonna happen because when there is no consequences for inappropriate behaviors - why stop?

Nice post.

And I am just shy of being considered a baby boomer. I guess when I say grandpa and grandma, I don't think about the fact that I am one myself. I think of my grandparents, who were like 85 or 90 when they died.

And agreed - there's no downside to lying. They all do it. It's just a matter of who does it more, or better.

Graham contradicts himself on Trump 'kook' jab - CNN Video

Just a tidbit of Republican fake news gone awry:

Republican Senator Lindsay Graham recently when asked about Trump's usual deplorable behavior:
->You know what concerns me about the American press is this endless, endless attempt to label the guy some kind of kook, not fit to be president

The press said that? Wait:

Republican Senator Lindsay Graham : 2016
->Regarding Trump: I think he's a kook, I think he's crazy, I think he's unfit for office

Blame the press Republicans, lie and double down on lies, surely it will lead to greatness.

The longer this plays out, the more it looks like American right wingers have lost their minds. How can they support these people? How can they constantly believe everything these politicians tell them?

It is beyond me. And they claim that their Party has the moral high ground.

Trump railed on Graham as a two-faced fink and a weak and feckless liar during the primaries. Liberals loved Graham while he was bashing Trump and now they hate him because he's willing to work with the president. The moral compass of liberals can be determined by a weathervane. Trump is the only person in politics who consistently tells the truth.
We always hated Graham what planet have you been living on
