Comcast deleted net neutrality pledge the same day FCC announced repeal

Irrelevant anecdotal speculation.

The internet is the way to get a job, communicate, and retrieve information on the world around us. It is vital.

And sure, you can find someone who poops in the woods, who drinks water from their own well: but we should not cut society off at the knees because a handful of unconventional people exist.

Even if I agreed with you that the internet is vital (maybe in 10-20 years), broadband internet access is not. All of the examples you provided as needed use of the internet could be provided by a $9.99 a month dial up connection.

How are you even using the internet? It is literally impossible to use the modern web on a dial up connection, the data requirements are way too high these days, this page alone would probably take an hour to fully load and that is not even exaggerating. The internet is required to participate in modern society, you need the internet for everything from paying your power bill, to banking, to finding a job, doing your job, or even just finding a place to live. Not only that the internet is driving the entire economy and most technological innovation.
