Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump, during an event at the White House honoring Navajo code talkers Monday, referenced his nickname for Sen. Elizabeth Warren, "Pocahontas," a label he has long used about the Massachusetts Democrat.

"I just want to thank you because you are very, very special people. You were here long before any of us were here," Trump said. "Although, we have a representative in Congress who has been here a long time ... longer than you -- they call her Pocahontas!"
He then turned to one of the code talkers behind him, put his left hand on the man's shoulder and said: "But you know what, I like you. You are special people."

Apparently not.

This event was to honor true American heroes. Their help in WWII was invaluable.
But then again what would Trump know about the military.

It's not that Trump is stupid.......Wait, yes it it, but this particular stupidity can be shared by Republicans, Democrats, and white people of all stripes. The story of Pocahontas that we are all accustomed to is a lie. Native Americans know the real story.

There was no romance between John Rolfe and Pocahontas. After capturing her, he had her husband executed, and after he was finished with her, had her poisoned. THIS is why Native Americans see references to her as a slur. I won't give Trump a pass on this, but I can't give a pass to anyone else who accepts the alt-history of her relationship with a rapist and murderer.

Count on the aggrieved Warren to come up with a real lulu. :lamo Sweetie, he's mocking your claim that you're Native American, but if you disagree then maybe you need to call a war council, put on your war bonnet, grab a tomahawk, and then chop off those red locks on Trump's comb-over.

Oh please. He was one step away from shoving a feather in his hair and saying 'me heap big man, me do rain dance'. It was culturally insensitive and insulting.

A lot of us believe that the rules on that sort of thing are bad.

This is a Rebellion after all.





EDIT: I was watching a movie awhile back where the dad and the 17ish year old daughter are in a car driving and talking....so the dad says "I dont like it when you go downtown, it's dangerous" and so the daughter of course does "THE TURN" and announces "DAD! That's racist!.

The reference to Senator Pocahontas Warren was an inside joke, known by the Navajo Indians. Trump made it to contrast the native American soldiers, who helped their country win a war, with the self serving Democrat, how claimed native American status to get into Harvard, based on the quota system. Those being honored, were not there because of a quota system, but because of skill and courage. This is unlike Senator Warren. CNN is doing damage control for the Democrats and for Warren, trying to take everyone's eye off the ball.

The label of Pocahontas was first coined by Boston AM 680 radio personality, Howie Carr, during Warren's first run for Senate in Massachusetts. Warren claimed her grandmother told her she was part indian when she was a child. She never checked this out for verification. Instead she used this anecdotal evidence to get into Harvard, by checking the native American box on her application. She was a scammer and knew this would give her a back door entry, based on quotas.

This claim, while she was running for senate, made the local Indian tribes, as well as the Navajo leaders, upset. These tribes keep good genealogy records and there was no record of her in their books, to support her claim. Instead of apologizing, she doubled down. This made the local indians feel that whitey once again screwed them out of an educational slot. Because she was a Democrat and cheating is normal for them, she got a pass in Liberal Massachusetts and was elected. The Navajo Indians honored. were aware of her scam, based on the genealogy check years back, making this an inside joke about the swamp.
