Of all the dumb laws the banners propose, the assault weapons bans are probably the worst. They are based solely on appearance. I can go to my local full service gun store, order parts for an AW and the shop will assemble it while I go pick up ammo and a case. Order a walnut sporting stock , paint the gun white, subtract a few bolt on accessories and the gun is no longer an assault weapon. Conversely, grab a .22 plinker, add a few bolt ons, and bingo, a full assault weapon.

Ten or so major geographical areas in the US are the major source of violent crime in the US. All have near total gun bans and all are Democrat controlled. It's the fault of outlying areas, Indiana, Virginia, that criminals kill in Chicago, NYC, Atlanta.

not gun crimes. You are pretending that suicides should count and guess what, those "lax" gun laws are not the reason why suicides are higher

the places with the MOST CRIMINAL GUN DEATHS are DEMOCRAT RUN anti gun areas like Chicago, DC, LA, BALTIMORE etc

the evidence that the majority of gunshot murders take place in Democrat cities has been posted so many times I have lost count.

you know that is true which is why you dishonestly try to pretend suicides prove states without idiotic gun laws are less "safe". the fact is, the areas with Democrat gun laws are the murder capitals of the USA

One thing you seem to have overlooked is that there are only 3 or 4 nations in the world with a "Second Amendment" enshrined in their Constitutions, and none of those that you listed are among them....in addition, those countries you mentioned still have violent crime....removing or restricting firearms did not end it.

if you are unwilling to actually understand obvious and basic facts in the gun control debate, its really not worth trying to educate you given those facts have been posted on the gun forum dozens of times

so when you say 'prove it' its not that you don't believe it but rather you are unable to counter those facts but you feel a need to try to respond and counter facts that the gun banning movement finds uncomfortable. one of the most devastating facts for the gun banning movement is that its claim that access to legal firearms increases gun crime is completely belied by the various ethnic groups in the USA. the group with the highest rate of legal gun ownership (and thus the highest access to legal firearms) are whites and they have a far far lower rate of gun violence than hispanics and blacks. Blacks, who have the highest rate of gun violence, have the lowest rate of legal gun ownership and are more likely to live in areas with severe gun laws than whites.
