Senator Al Franken’s past jokes about rape and other forms of inappropriate sexual conduct resurfaced Thursday after a radio anchor accused him of forcefully kissing her during a rehearsal and of groping her breasts while she slept on a flight from Afghanistan following a USO tour in December 2006.

Franken once joked about child rape...

“And, ‘I give the pills to Lesley Stahl. Then, when Lesley’s passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her,’” Franken said.

Don't act like both sides don't defend their own. I'm all for any of these bums to be thrown out, but I won't pretend that defending your team is unique to one side over the other, regardless of the cute acronyms you use.

I agree but these kind of jokes reinforce male bad actions. We males should rethink any such joking as to how it effects women's status in the society. It's similar to race jokes in that way.

Franken should quit office at minimum. What he did to the woman is sexual assault and he was so proud he photographed it. He clearly has a view of women as objects. He's so depraved he thinks it's funny to make "jokes" about children being anally violated by dad.

I'm old enough to remember when Clinton was president, and I'm seeing far more Republicans turn on Moore than I ever recalled seeing on Clinton. We can see it today as well. Where are the cries of Democrats demanding Franken resign? I hear crickets.

I'm sure both of us have received offers from the fairer sex and have chosen to say no for whatever reason. Not often, to be sure, but there have been times we have declined. In your case maybe there were just too many other people on the bus. :lamo But for whatever reason, as men we usually have the option of saying no without worrying about repercussions.

All kidding aside I was once offered the passion of an evening by two ladies just outside of Galway. They were intimidating. I felt fortunate that I was able to say no to those two ladies in a public place.

On the other hand I'm certain we've both received incredible and unexpected proposals that we did not turn down. Few men would have. Sometimes you got lucky, and a good time was had by all. That option is generally a luxury women cannot safely enjoy.

I don't know. It's a dance, a game we play when we are single. Respect is the underlying rule.

The words of Al Davis sound exactly what Trump supporters said when they voted for him. I know that is off topic but it fit my narrative. As far as Franken is concerned, he should go.
