Roy Moore -- Allegations of Inappropriate Relations with Teenagers; Judge Claims Smear Campaign

Oh.. so if it's a woman making an accusation, the man is the victim. I see. Isn't that special.

And people wonder how we have an enablement culture....

Yeah WTF. You don't stay stuff like that if you're truly innocent. Reminds me of Jerry Sandusky's infamous "Am I a pedophile?" moment.

It's in direct contradiction with the fact he said he didn't do it, after first saying 'it would have not been characteristic'. .. the story he told was not consistent through out the interview. Lack of consistency in a story is one of the clues for me to have a red flag raised on a story. Mind you , reading the story further, it DID say none of those women actually had sex with him, although some of his actions were 'not appropriate'

I do think it would be amusing if he did go to court with the Washington post, and they brought forth all the 30 witnesses they claimed to have interviewed. On the other hand, I think the distancing of the national GOP from Moore is just using this as an excuse, to try to weaken the Bannon insurgency in the Republican Party.

Prove he did it. so far no one has.
again according to all sources it was simple locker room talk.

but i guess you have never done that either.

Uh. No. I haven't. I don't consider that kind of talk to be 'simple' or normal. Do you go around saying things like that in locker rooms?

a Newsweek piece I found on Raw Story

Is Fox News ditching Roy Moore?

Alexander Nazaryan
Posted with permission from Newsweek

On Friday night, Sean Hannity opened his prime time Fox News program by playing an audio recording of his interview, conducted on his radio show the day before, with former Alabama chief justice Roy S. Moore, now running for a Senate seat from that state. Hannity then turned to a panel of three pundits, asking them whether Moore sufficiently defended himself against the damning allegations of child molestation and sexual misconduct that surfaced in The Washington Post the day before.

“You ended his candidacy,” declared Geraldo Rivera, citing Moore’s inability to unequivocally say that he had never dated teenage girls when he was in his 20s and 30s, after he’d left the U.S. Army and turned to law. “I would urge Republicans to postpone the special election,” Rivera said.

Gregg Jarrett, a Fox News legal analyst, was no more kind. “I found his answers to be unconvincing and implausible, his entire story to be, in a word, unbelievable. Which means he’s lying.” Moore has called the allegations against him “fake news,” suggesting that The Washington Post was motivated by a political agenda.

Jarrett said Moore “should step aside.” (. . .)

"After my return from the military, I dated a lot of young ladies," Moore said.

In a particularly damning exchange, Hannity asked Moore if he’d had a habit of dating teenage girls. “Do you remember dating girls that young at that time?”

“Not generally, no,” Moore said. “If I did, I’m not going to dispute anything, but I don’t remember anything like that.”

Hum. Does anyone else here find Roy Moore's defense on the accusations a bit odd?? He said he never dated girls without the parents permission.

Jezz like his fellow GOP bud...

I got da mama's permission, so I dopted her.

'There needs to be criminal penalties for women who make false accusations. It's way too easy to make a claim against
someone and there are far too many who ignore "innocent until proven guilty”. If the Libs can get away with making
Judge Moore step down.....no candidate will be safe.. They will try the "Smear Job" on anybody running against them......
This women"reckless drinking, drugs, boyfriends, and a suicide attempt" -- sounds like an easy mark for a Liberal reporter!'

If you are trying to make a point, to convey to the readers your thoughts - it helps if you write in a more coherent manner.

I heard on the news that some Alabama voters said that even if the allegations were proven, they'd still vote for him over a Democrat.
Sorry, if you prefer a pedophile over a Democrat, you are indeed deplorable.

I have known guys that have.
I have heard similar talk at a bar.

Please stop acting like it is something new that you have never heard of.

I should know better and do realize there are some a little slow on the uptake so how's this:

If Judge Moore was chasing young girls in '79, he would still be doing it today and he would not be able to hide it, not in Alabama,
and not as contentious as his political career has been.

A woman making up a story about sexual impropriety? That's as unlikely as a minority making up a hate crime.

Full title: After Endorsing Democrat in Alabama, Bezos’s Washington Post Plans to Hit Roy Moore with Allegations of Inappropriate Relations with Teenagers; Judge Claims Smear Campaign

Sorry for the title alteration. The lengths of Breitbart's headlines are kind of ridiculous.

Anyway, the saga of underage sex and sexual assault continues, this time starring Senate candidate Roy Moore. Breitbart is pre-empting the Washington Post article after the WP sent Moore a letter for his comment. Moore turned around and publicized the letter in an attempt to get ahead of the story.

Republican voters didn't care about Trump's boasting about grabbing women by their genitalia without permission, and dismissed up to fifteen women's allegations of sexual assault and harassment. After enthusiastically embracing the bombshell revelations of rampant assault and harassment in Hollywood, how will they react to allegations by up four women of underage sex and advances for underage sex?

If you listened to that interview with Sean Hannity--it's clear that Roy Moore did in fact date underage teenage girls.

This is the commentary on it today on Hannity. No one is believing Roy Moore. Go to 17 minutes 39 seconds on this video.

60 year old men don't talk like this. If they do, they have some very serious issues with maturity, insecurity, and emotional instability.

Some of the dirtiest men I know are 60 year old men.
You have no clue what you are talking about.

The whole "it was locker room talk" or "that's just how guys talk" is a lame ass excuse for what he said.

Plain and simple Ludin, plain and simple.

Me and my buddies talk pretty damned crude, but never has anyone bragged about being able to grab womens genitals and get away with it, to defend that... Nah.

Sorry any moral high ground especially social conservatives thought they had before voting for this asshole don't have it anymore (not that they ever actually did).

The Office of the President of the United States is not a place for a dirty old man who behaves like a teenage girl on Twitter. Save Trump...save Moore...but we jump all over those liberal fiends in Hollywood don't we?

again i take it as mere bragging words nothing more that he actually did it and there is no evidence that he did.
the only actual case brought against him has been thrown out of court 3 times.

JFK, Bill Clinton and a few other presidents would like to have a word with you.
the faux outrage is just that.

Then you hang out with some creepy people.

Just sayin'...

so you have never been in a locker room nor at a bar amazing?
hell i have heard worse conversations from women.

JFK, Bill Clinton and a few other presidents would like to have a word with you.

Oh, you mean the Bill Clinton that lied about it and was actually impeached? The JFK of fifty-five years ago?

Your need to deflect in order to pretend to yourself is obvious here. Pedophiles and sex offenders used to matter to the right. Here's the general record thus far...

- Ignore and cheer for Trump
- Criticize characters like Weinstein, Spacey, Piven, Oliver Stone, etc.
- Run to Jesus, Joseph, and Mary when it comes to Moore; and choose to debate on what even a teenager is.

It's obviously hypocritical and a horrible display of behavior for the right to betray their supposed conservative values, especially when I think about the legion of Trump/Moore fans who have daughters and wives. I find it sad that you don't think you are above this tribal game. I think you are better than this.

Frankly I don't know any. Most men that age--are not chasing around married women--which this woman was--and Trump was married to Melania at the time of this hollywood access tape. Men in their sixty's just don't talk that way--and are respectful toward women, and the last thing they would do is try to break up a marriage.

You knew this before you voted for him. You all did. In fact 80% of Evangelicals in this country voted for Donald Trump knowing this. Not only this but Trump was a frequent flyer on the Howard Stern program, bragging about his sexcapades and extra marital affairs. You knew that too, and you had better hope that Stern never releases those tapes.

We had white male pastors all over this country singing the praises of Donald Trump.

It's clear that the Republican party no longer holds the high ground when it comes to decency, the sanctity of marriage or anything else after electing Trump, and it's very hypocritical that many are now bothered by the actions of Roy Moore, when you've installed Donald Trump in the Oval office.

Don't forget Clarence Thomas on the bench of the Supreme Court.

No deflection about it. It is simply a rebuttal to your last post.
Again there is no evidence and merely hearsey. We are not the Salem witch trials.

Accusations require proof and evidence. If there is none then the claims are dismissed.
