Woman Fired For Flipping Off Donald Trump’s Motorcade

Firing someone for doing something perfectly legal out of work hours which doesn't involve the company in any way is immoral and in most civilised countries, would be illegal.

When did corps start dictating what you can do in your own time?

Never mind, I found the context.

So when he salutes a soldier he is being disrespectful to the office? How about when he signs a law in the Oval Office? When he shakes hands with other Heads of State... is that disrespectful?

Well there you have it, that changes EVERYTHING.

If the article is accurate her termination seems justified in general
I simply would never work for a company like such or simply would make my facebook private like it is now (wouldnt have helped in this case though since she made it her profile picture LMAO )

but it also seems her company MAY have double standard and acted hypocritically in another similar incident.

And the picture still cracks me up and makes me laugh.

We don't know her history with this company though.

If the circumstances were exactly the same I can see where it might be seen as unfair, but if she has done things like this before and had been given chances, then she got what she earned.

I agree, and very true, thats why i said "may"
maybe this was her 5th offense? or maybe they were being hypocritical, at this point we do not know

She shoulda said, "I was flipping off all the imaginary haters fake news behind him"

She did an action. Actions have consequences...

Her employer has every right to fire her over it...

She did do an action. One of her coworkers did an action too and got away with a warning. The employer has the right, but was it the right thing to do?

It was not one of her co-workers that did an action and got away with it. It was a senior member of the executive management. She's not senior management. She's FIRED. I know many people do not understand the difference in senior management from regular employees but keep in mind terminating a senior director cost the company a bunch of money. Terminating her? Not so much. She wasn't as valuable as she thought that she was.

1.) uhm that is still a coworker by definition so YES it was one of her coworkers
2.) see, yes a co worker
3.) she doesnt need to be, still her co worker
4.) she sure is, she violated a clear policy and she got terminated for it. I have no issue with that. I would never work for such a company but that was her choice.
5.) not always but sometimes it can
6.) again see #5
7.) She thought she was more valuable than she was?

There was clear grounds to fire her or punish her per employee rules thats for sure
There also could be grounds for a case against her company "IF" the article is true and they did not terminate the other employee for the same offense.

of course we dont know that, this could be her 5th offense for all we know and the other guy may have only had one .. . put with the info we have there could definitely be a case brought up against her company if she wanted to pursue it.

Is there anybody here that still thinks she got fired for flipping off the motorcade?

Let us hope this becomes a new trend of everyone flipping off Trump whenever he appears in public.

Actually the newest trend for libruls is quite insane.

Give this women a medal and a job.

Not to mention, its come out that she posted it as her profile picture on Facebook. Which is most likely the reason she got let go from her company.

True. She violated the company's social media policy.

Well....she can do what she wants out of work hours. But I can't blame the employer for not wanting her to have anything more to do with his company, especially when his business relies on government contracts.

Nowadays, we just don't know how far politically passionate people are willing to go to. I wouldn't want to take a chance on having my business embroiled in any scandal.

Maybe....her employer is a Trump supporter - as equally passionate about it, too.
