Bernie Sanders already gearing up for 2020? [W:59]

Funny how you call yourself a "moderate" and then turn around and say, "We lost so badly that we had 3 million more votes".

Where did I call myself a moderate? Trump lost the popular vote and continues to be an embarrassment to the world. he has failed at just about everything he has promised, his administration is in shambles. Where do the indictments fall next?

I don't see Hillary in the White House. Funny how you guys keep on claiming that Russia influenced the election and then turn right around and proudly say that you had three million more votes.

That just goes to show you the plurality that mrs. Clinton would have won by without Russian interference.

Yep. Bernie would make a great campaign chairman or advisor for someone younger and more marketable like Tulsi Gabbard or (fill in attractive, hip, and articulate candidate here).

If Bernie runs again all he'll prove is that he's a sad, narcissistic old man.

Nah; if the polling data supports a run as it presently does, then he should run (as much as I love Tulsi, she doesn't have nearly the same popularity or awareness/recognition atm). If he runs _contrary_ to polling at the time, then yes, you might have a point.

I'd have a lot more respect for him if he refused to endorse Hillary when he knew she worked with the MSM to sabotage his campaign. The fact that he bowed down and kowtowed to her is a disgrace.

He wanted to avoid being a Nader but, the damage was already done. Progressives wanted real change not lip service and status quo.

This unofficial Bernie Sanders ad looks very official if you ask me.

I hope he is the Face of Leftist Democrats. The biggest reason for his popularity so far is that people don't really know much about him first hand. The more you see him the more the average person will see that he is really a bitter old asshole with terrible ideas.

I would like Tulsi to run in order to take the DNC's "you're all sexists and racists" talking point from them. We support Tulsi Gabbard, who's sexist and racist now?

"where did I call myself a moderate". Liberals are delusional and completely lacking in self-awareness. Thanks Floridafan. That's the funniest thing I've read all week.

Not a moderate.PNG

I agree, it would be so nice to throw that **** back in their stupid faces.

What a disappoint he is....This guy always disappoints.

He is smart enough to know that what America needs is a new class of leaders, because the ones we have have failed, that's what he should be working on now.

And at his age....REALLY!
Yet, his policy positions are exactly what America wants. While you worship the false populist, Trump, who promises the masses the moon and delivers the moon to the rich and powerful, Bernie is the real deal.

I like Tulsi even though I disagree with her on domestic policy. She would destroy Trump if she ran. I was hoping Trump would make her SoS.

It just kills me that the general public can't filter out the noise.

Like, does a candidate have to be a female minority now in order to be progressive? Obviously not. But, if they aren't, then we have to defend ourselves against outrageous claims by the DNC and their media toadies.

I don't care, you can call be Bernie Bro sexist, racist, commie all you want to, I don't care. As long as the general public can see what I really am. A left leaning person who wants what's best for the country.. someone who wants to move forward because that is our path into the future.

Like I said call me anything you want to, but, it just kills me that people eat the low hanging fruit.

I wonder if she would've taken the job. I don't know if I would want to be a part of that questionable administration. But, maybe I would think, "I need to be a gentleman amongst scoundrels."

He is the quintessential angry old man trying for revenge.

We already have too many angry old men in politics. Time for someone younger.

Like I said, Few really know Sanders. In a lengthy national campaign he wont do well. Especially after four years of seeing a Trump economy and comparing it to how we suffered and stagnated under Obama.

She doesn't seem to let partisanship keep her from standing for what she believes in, she railed against Obama multiple times on issues she disagreed with him on. I think had she been offered she would have taken on the job because ultimately someone sane needs to be there in order to prevent a potential tragedy especially when it comes to Foriegn policy. The more important question would be how long before Trump gave her the boot.

The more people hear from Sanders the more people like him. That's why the DNC wanted to seal the deal before his message could get out there.

And.. I dispute your statement. I understand it's necessary to believe that Democrats destroy the economy, in order to perpetuate tribalism in the modern era.. however, considering that a Republican handed Obama an economy that was hemorrhaging hundreds of thousands of jobs, he did pretty alright.

I'm not sure about that. Outside of those that stand to gain from him being in office the more he talks the less they like him. Of course young people are going to gravitate to him with him offering free college and the like, however when people start to realize how much of a tax increase it would take for his policies it would likely kill him in the general.

We Zennists tend to not worship anyone or anything. You do know that Bernie was my #2, given that I am a socialist his economic message does appeal, had be been interested in beating Hillary he almost certainly would have been my pick over Trump.

Oh pluueeze run Sanders....Lol.

Sanders is a old school Leftist demagogue and a imbecille and tottally dependent on the profound naivete of his base.
"Healthcare as a right " and tax increases on the Middle class...Lol ! I can hardly wait

I just disagree. From my point of view he explains his ideas well and they make a lot of sense to ordinary folk. For example, Medicare-for-all would save the middle class 2-3 thousand per year, but, they don't know that until Bernie explains it to them. He's also a compelling orator and you can feel the compassion in his voice. It's my estimation that if you were to give Bernie equal airtime as Trump and Clinton, he would be president right now, because he has that strong of a message and vision for the country.

Look at how popular he got without the mainstream media. His voice is like a magnet for the people.

Perhaps he knew he wasn't going to win and Trump winning would have been a disaster. Maybe he put country first?

I can't fathom that someone who favored Bernie would be such a strong Trump supporter, since their political viewpoints are diametrically opposites. Bernie believes in high taxes on the rich; Trump believes in low taxes on the rich. Bernie really believes in the working class, while Trump just pays it lip-service. The same with healthcare.

You listed your lean on your profile as "moderate".
