Colin Kaepernick confirms desire to play in NFL, explains silence

I don't think he cares if a team picks him up after all of this.. That's the point. He's fighting for something he believes in.

Not any more.
He told all 32 teams in writing that he will stand if hired.
Reality check.

He released a tweet saying he never said that....He is ready to play but may not stand....

HAHAHAHAH! Hillary-ious.

FYI, you're making the toddler case for me.

The case Im making is that the Lefts response to Kapernick and to fans boycotting the NFL over these protest is just an extension of this epic and unprecdented temper tantrum the Left has been throwing since election night.

You people didnt get your way, your'e STILL not getting your way so you continue to act out.

I bet he is ready to play, and would be in a heartbeat but for the fact that no team is going to knowingly take on a controversial player like Kapernick

The fact he isnt playing pretty much debunks your claim that " most fans " could care less about these protest.

Obviously enough fans and advertizers care to keep Kapernick unemployed and to force coaches to demand that their players stand

Good...Still there are 5 or 6 teams that Suck and could use him....Hopefully they'll lose every game

You said most NFL fans dont care. If most fans dont care why isnt Kapernick playing ??

Well, well - then his status will not change.

The owners are frightened no doubt....My guess as the season goes on fans will care.....Some of these teams have Quarterbacks that completely Suck....

And you frame the pitch way out of the strike zone to try and turn a QUIET, PEACEFUL protest into some show of disrespect- never mind many who take umbrage at the SILENT protest boo'd and shouted during the same ceremony...

As far as the seat on any bus... I'm used to civilians paying faux 'respect' for my scars of service. But stay in your seat, I have never asked for anything from any never served- what I do get for my scars and service I got by going before a VA medical review and QUALIFIED for thankuverimuch.

How thin the degree of commitment to the BoR some special snowflakes have that they INSIST their right to respect trumps any one else's- you think it is acceptable to fake respect to respect those who are literally doing the very least possible to be a 'PATRIOT'????.... :doh

Those who protest don't boo or insult those who don't. those who see social injustice as a burning issue and the weak kneed 'patriotism' shown at the start of an NFL game as the VERY LEAST these folks can do to be 'Merican...

Spare us all the faux poutage... :peace

As I said, if you want respect, you have to earn it and give it. Personally, I don't care whether they protest or not, but I do try to understand the issues as presented by both sides. I asked you who was saying what the players were doing and you dodged that question. I asked further questions and dodged those too. The answer is no one has, you just asserted your own feelings and extrapolated it a lot. I never commented on those who booed the protesters, have any more straw to throw at me?

As for your service, you bring it up a lot as a flag for some moral high ground in an online debate site. Well since you didn't ask I'll respect your wishes: I have no pity for you.

I bolded the part of what you wrote that is BS. I don't tell you what you think, show respect and don't tell me what I think.

when you watch a sporting event at your local tavern or in your living room , you stand when the anthem is played eh? Be honest, Ya don’t.

If everyone else in the bar were to stand, I would as well. I wouldn't sing, chant, kneel, nor dance out of respect for the group.

If you were in a bar and the anthem came on and every stood but you, would you stay seated? Be honest.

The unpatriotic tool is pleased and proud... and will take the money.
No deal.

In other related news... Pence walks out of the Colts game because players took the knee during the anthem.

Related because they're both attention-whoring drama queens?

What exactly is my way? And how am I not getting it?

The only butthurt i see here is with people pissed off that players are taking a knee to shed light on racial injustice. It's sad that someone kneeling during the national anthem melts your little snowflake. I'd suggest getting over things that do not impact your life in any way shape or form.

Not so much anymore, lol.

Seems the US is the origin of a substantial number of persons entering Canada and claiming Refugee status.

Good Lord! That was months ago, and you're still trying to make it front-and-centre in every issue. The right wing's big moment and they just can't get over that it actually happened. Been nothing but a good-news desert since, though, so I guess your fixation is explainable.

So you don’t. You sit there drinking beer when the anthems played, Gottcha.

Ahhh so the respect you expect is very narrow, you make ZERO comment on those 'patriots' who showed ENORMOUS disrespect by booing during the anthem...

What dodge??? You dodge the booing 'patriots', you dodge peer pressure not 'respect' from those who don't respect the symbols but stand alongside others- fear and peer pressure- not respect. You dodge the 'patriots' who ignore the color guard in small town 'Merica but love them some 'love it or leave it' bumper stickers....

Naaaw I occupy the 'moral high ground' because I have gone and done a bit more than stand at ball games 'patriots' and see this as a Constitutional right to express one's self- even the things I find repulsive. The Constitution isn't just for the fair weather patriots, the NASCAR crowd, the gated community citizens...

It's for everyone, even those who never lifted a finger to defend it or got an even shake in society...

Oh and while we are at it, I am not telling you what to think, I'm giving my opinion- try respecting that... :peace

I think Kapernick should devote his brain to science for CTE research, he's not using it so why not ?

Does he really think a teams going to pick him up after all of this ?

Dallas Cowboys owner has given an ultimatum to the players. Stand for the anthem or you
won't play in the game. The first owner to do this but more will follow his lead!
He said any player who disrespects the flag will not play.

Pence spent thousands of our tax dollars in a staged political stunt. At least the Player Protest doesn't cost the taxpayers the current administration pretends to care soooo much about...

I'm a scarred vet and I don't see Kaepernick as unpatriotic, our Founders weren't very big on public displays of 'loyalty' to symbols. Funny how the rabid right constantly forgets parts of what the Founders wanted when it suits... :peace
How much tax revenue is lost in the hundreds of millions that the players are costing the owners? Does that upset you?
