Art Rooney II: Steelers never meant to boycott anthem

Why even play the anthem? It didn't before 2009?

Watching so many get their assesin the air over a non-violent protest is comedy gold.

These are the many of the same folks that disrespect the flag by wearing it. Meanwhile real problems continue and Americans are in dire straights. But those damned kneelers!

1) I have offered the player's choice to leave the team to sing the national anthem, the public states by the coach, and the public statements by the player AFTER the public statements by the coach as evidence. Do you have some other evidence, or a different interpretation of the existing evidence? Apparently not.

2) Yes there is evidence. The coach chose to say that he was disappointing in the player, followed by the player stating he was ashamed of his actions.
3.) What more evidence do you need?

4.) It's an observation of your denial and inability to provide the evidence to back your beliefs.

5.) You could have just said "yes". :lamo

1.) yes you offered all of that and NONE of it shows he was shamed in anyway what so ever. You have only stated that you FEEL it does but theres no facts support that claim LMAO
2.) sorry once again your view and "feelings" of that is not evidence
3.) i dont know maybe REAL and FACTUAL evidence instead of your feelings. Tomlin also said he dint know why the player apologized and he had nothign to apologize for. But let me guess, that doesnt count only YOUR feelings do right?:2rofll:
4.) hey look more attacks and a lie. What beliefs are you talking about? please qoute them and be specific,I cant wait to read them!
5.) another failed desperate deflection as your lie continues to be exposed. this is awesome!

So here we are still waiting for you to provide one fact that makes your exposed lie true, just one please. thanks!

The ironic thing is your evidence-free statements are actually diversions. The evidence clearly shows what I have said and your only defense for your team is "NUH UH!"

I asked you for a different interpretation of the clear and tru evidence and all you have in response it to deny the evidence exists.

Quick yes or no:

1) Did Villenueva go out to stand for the anthem?

2) Did Tomlin say in the after game presser that he disapproved of Villenueva's choice to not stay with his teammates?

3) Did Villenueava then apologize for his choice to stand for the anthem?

If you answer No to any of those then provide the evidence.

But hey, the Steelers seem to have gotten the message that you seem unable to since apparently they are all in line and standing for the anthem today.

LAMO I love how you keep dodging my questions and now wants answers to questions that have nothingn to do with anything .

Its this simple.

YOU claimed that a player was shamed by his team into doing something. Posters laughed at such a claim because you have ZERO facts that support it It was exposed as the unsupportable lie it was.
So now here we all are still waiting for you to provided ONE single fact that makes your claim true. Your deflections and strawman will never work. Your feelings will never make your claim true so you'll have to please support your claim or simply admit to the fact you cant. We'll be waiting. Thanks!

Well, whatever arrangement of words brings you comfort when the events make you feel helpless again. The Great Divider in the White House is not just dividing American society into those who follow and those who defy, he's broken the right into at least three factions- the old Republican base who refuse to identify with him, the vocal mob who chant his campaign phrases like Buddhist mantras and the alt.right who are slipstreaming back into legitimacy behind him. If the conservative Republicans lose their majorities it might be a generation before they can muster the wherewithal to challenge again. Be assured that there won't be another Hillary and also that Trump doesn't give a damn. Not a hoot. He's in it for the ratings- why the hell else would he pander to a crowd like he did with that absolutely stupid comment about something that's none of his business? He's playing the crowd, and you, and damn the torpedoes.

Actually, analysis I've seen, and I know it's early, suggests that the most vulnerable members of Congress are Democrats who were elected in States that Trump carried in 2016. If so, and with the Democrats standing in the way of the Trump agenda, it could easily be the case that the Republicans extend their majorities in both Houses. And I'll remind you that it was Democrats, back in 2008, wrote books, such as James Carville, claiming that the Republican party was virtually dead after GW Bush and the election of Barack Obama. Guess how that prediction turned out.

HAH!! Oh irony. You are the one avoiding answering questions.

I have already stated the facts. Given you the opportunity to refute them and you can't. I've given you the opportunity to offer a contract explanation based on the facts and you won't. You are pure, empty headed denial and nothing more. You can't even answer whether I correctly deduced by your actions that you are in fact a Steelers fan. If I had gotten that wrong, though, no doubt you would have said so...

HA! Obviously they didn't all agree as a team to not take the field. And that is a bad look regardless. In a supposed fight for the right to protest the national anthem they attempted to deny the right to NOT protest by a majority vote.

So since they "knew there were differing views" they decided to make EVERYONE sit out the anthem? Again, if they had no problem with respecting the anthem, and supported Villenueva's decision he wouldn't have felt the need to hide his patriotism from the cameras, be spoken of negatively by his coach, or apologize for it later. The team needs to issue a public apology to Villenueva at this point.

Again, total nonsense. They didn't "decide to make EVERYONE sit out the anthem" - they didn't decide to make anyone do anything. They decided, collectively, as a team, to show unity by not presenting on the field for the anthem, to concentrate on football, and not get caught up in the political divisiveness. Unfortunately, as a Steelers fan, I'm certain that it wasn't that easy a decision and didn't sit well with all the team because they came out and played a terrible game against a terrible team, the Bears.

Last I checked, Democrats would have to win all races in states that were purple in 2016 to avoid loosing seats, and win in red states to get back the majority.

We always get Goldman Sachs in the white house "either" way.

LMAO this is awesome. More failed, desperate defections and lies but guess what. Not ONE fact that supports the lie you got caught trying to sell which has been completely exposed by muitiple posters. Once again when you can provided one fact that supports you claim and makes it true please post it, nothign else will be discussed no matter how hard you try (and fail). We are waiting, thanks!

That is what they did. Before the game Tomlin announced that his team would be staying in the locker room for the anthem. Villenueva didn't stay in the locker room. At the presser Tomlin said that he was disappointing because he was looking for 100% participation. And I quote:

“Like I said, I was looking for 100 percent participation, we were gonna be respectful of our football team.”

He didn't want Villenueva on the field for the anthem because it was a team decision to not go on the field. He specifically made a point of expressing his displeasure after the fact, prompting Villenueva's apology.

Another post and deflection but still still ZERO facts that support your exposed lie. Please let us know when you have one fact that makes your lie true and post it, thanks!
Fact remains threes no evidence Villenueva was shamed by the team to do anything.
