AS I've already noted... there was no context in the OP. When someone reminded me of the context (Bush admin) I remembered immediately in full. Just because I don't recognize Random Name Without Context doesn't mean I don't remember what happened.

I remembered the name, and the fact that she worked for the CIA. I wasn't aware of the details of this WAPO admission, that it was actually her husband, a former ambassador, who blew her cover, and ended her CIA career.

At the time, I remember, there were a lot of people tieing this story in with the false Iraqi WMD assertions.

It wasn't a fake controversy, it was simply strong insight into how vindictive Bush & Co were, and to what lengths they went to deceive the public on the WMD sophistry.

Valerie Plame was a CIA agent who's cover was blown when she was outed by the Bush Administration. It was a revenge act because her husband Ambassador Wilson had denied the Bush Administration claims about yellowcake (uranium), Iraq, Saddam and Niger. Libby ( Jewish, relating to context) got jail time but was pardonned by Bush. Lies and the Iraq War.

She had been outed twice in a Russia spy operation in Cuba many years before the story which is why she was working at a desk in Langley. The clue that she was not in as much danger as the narrative tried to claim is the simple fact that within a month of the story breaking she was doing photo shoots with Vanity Fair (irony!).

The Wilson report on Niger Yellow Cake was also rather dubious since witnesses said that Wilson did very little actual investigation in Niger, and spent all his time in public by the hotel pool. His argument that Iraq had sent a trade delegation to Niger (headed by the lead in the an Iraqi nuclear weapons project) to land a textile deal (the vast majority of Niger export is yellow cake uranium) defied logic.

Anyway, it was like two years of Democrats screaming that Bush has written Plame's death warrant by outing her for political reasons when in reality it was Plame and Wilson's own vanity that made her a name public.

And now we know she is an antisemitic a-hole who likes blaming war on Jews.

Demonstrably false. What undercover work Plame had done in the past was long since over when she was outed TWICE by Russian spying on the Swedish Embassy in Cuba who had documentation on embassy staff who were covert CIA employees. She was working at a desk in Langley because she was no longer under cover.

Wilson's claim that the Iraqi trade delegation was in Niger seeking a textile export deal defies logic. Neither Niger nor Iraq were huge textile manufacturers, and the only thing of real value that Niger exports outside of its African neighbors is yellow cake. So essentially Wilson called on his Niger admin buddies and asked them if their country was breaking the international embargo on yellow cake sales to Iraq and Niger said no and that was good enough for Wilson. He was a boob.

Looks like she's trying to regain her 15 minutes of fame, but instead she's getting 15 plus minutes of shame. When she starting getting negative reactions in the twitter verse, she admonished people and told them to read the entire article, and then she later tweeted that she "messed up" and only skimmed the article.

She then claimed that she only put the article out so people could discuss it. The only problem with that is Plame has tweeted many references to the author of the article, Philip Giraldi, who is an anti-Semite. Based on Plame's past Tweets, it is obvious that she has an obsession with Jewish people.

The media milked the Valerie Plame story for all it was worth in one of those juicy scandals intended to bring down the Bush 43 presidency. Scooter Libby, Chief of Staff to then Vice President Cheney, was sentenced to prison for perjury et al for failing to remember something involved with that case and the media blatantly accused him of outing Plame. He was sentenced to a $250,000 fine and 30 months in prison. President Bush did not pardon him but did commute the sentence. Libby was accused of outing Valerie Plame as a CIA agent to CNN's Robert Novak when in fact it was a guy in the CIA who did that. The guy was never charged with anything or suffered any consequences so far as I know. Many legal experts have said the whole thing was a gross miscarriage of justice, an opinion shared by many of the jurors who heard the case.

False. The person who "outed" Plame was Richard Armitage, and it had nothing to do with vindictiveness. But this "outing" was nothing like the story sold by the press. She was not an undercover spy, and the revelation didn't endanger her in any way. Anything the Russians needed to know about Plame they stole from the Swedish Embassy in Cuba many years earlier.

And the only reason that the story got any press at all was because WILSON was the one pushing the false narrative that Bush put his wife in danger... on his way to a Vanity Fair photo shoot....

Pointing people to an article that blames Jews for American wars is anti-Semitic because it is engaging in scapegoating, its kind of the bedrock of anti-Semitism. Her other tweets consisted of analyzing an apology by Adelsen and concluding he was apologizing for other rich jews...she is up to her neck in soft bigotry of the kind that should not be tolerated, let alone excused.

No, I didn't leave it out. I clearly stated that she had been under cover, but that by the time that she was "outed" in the media her cover had already been blown by a breech at the Swedish embassy in Cuba. She was in Langley because she couldn't be used as an undercover asset anymore.

And, actually, troops found 5,000 chemical munitions in Iraq and there is little doubt that his goal was to reconstitute large scale chemical and biological weapons manufacturing and had actually been seeking yellow cake in Niger.

We were trying to avoid in Iraq what we failed to avoid in North Korea. I wonder how many people who scream about the Iraq war really wish we had taken out the Kims before North Korea had an H-Bomb and ICBM technology?

Also, I look at it this way: If a doctor discovered a malignant tumor in my body and I underwent expensive treatment, I wouldn't complain about the cost of a followup surgery if they found I was cancer free.
