Trump on Russian Facebook Ads: 'Hoax'

It's nothing like that.
You're right, it's far worse.

Think about it: he doesn't just deny he conspired with Russia, he denies Russia did anything at all, despite all of the overwhelming evidence of their covert operation that is public information. Even head of intelligence Dan Coatz and Mike Rogers (who are Republicans) says there is no doubt of Russia's games. But there Trump sits on Twitter, denying the whole thing ever even happened despite getting briefed on intelligence that's no doubt even more alarming than what's been made public.

Yeah, he did it.

Why not? Maybe Trump is lying. I assure he is capable of doing so.

What is it about Trump supporters that every time someone on the right is wrong, they're lying?

I don't know why I always think Trump is lying ;)

Trump on Russian Facebook Ads: 'Hoax'

"The Russia hoax continues, now it's ads on Facebook," Trump tweeted Friday.

Of course he says it's a hoax. Reminds me of when Bill Clinton "didn't have sexual relations with that woman."

Trump is existing in two worlds simultaneously: 1)Russian interference is a hoax. 2)Russian interference happened, and it's Obama's fault.

It's entirely possible that he believes both of these things.

Ah, Maggie...tough question. I guess, given the results of a year's worth of fact checking, the question for you is: would you rather they be lying, or just be that dumb? It's either incompetence or it's deliberate lying...which one are you more comfortable with?

What specifically are you talking about? I was referring to Trump saying investigating Facebook memes was a hoax.

I always assume a politician may be lying. Trump is a politician, therefore I assume he may be lying.

Sorry, Maggie, misunderstood your post, carry on... lol :)

Of course Trump is going to say anything regarding Russia is a Hoax

Providing new evidence of Russian interference in the 2016 election, Facebook disclosed on Wednesday that it had identified more than $100,000 worth of divisive ads on hot-button issues purchased by a shadowy Russian company linked to the Kremlin.

San Francisco: Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg said Thursday Russia-linked ads on the huge social network aimed at inflaming tensions around last year’s US presidential election will be given to Congress.News of the decision came with word that Facebook is cracking down on efforts to use the leading social network to meddle with elections in the US or elsewhere.

The 'hoax' he is talking about is the claim that Russian actions influenced the election results. And he is right, that is a hoax. Hillary lost because she didn't appeal to people in key rust belt states. Russian facebook ads had zero to do with it. Zero.

Actually, the incompetence and dishonesty is on your side. The idea that Hillary lost because of Russian interference IS a hoax. So the question for you is: are those that claim it real lying or just dumb?

doesn't seem to be a hoax. the question now is whether or not there was coordination with the campaign.

That is true to an extent, but he's saying the whole thing is a hoax. That's not really true.

The idea that she lost because of it is a matter of interpretation. We don't know why and the reasons are many. You could point to any number of things and say that's the reason.

The idea that there was Russian involvement seems to be true. Even Don Jr admits that he tried to get help from them.

Absolutely correct. Since it is politicians making accusations against the Rusians, then thsy also must be lying. There has been no evidence of Russian interference in the election. AIPAC/Israeli interference abounds. Corporate interference abounds. Even the Intelligence Agencies were caught lying about. They stated 17 Agencies had confidence that there was interference and it turned out that only 3 or4 hand picked individuals from 3 agencies expressed confidence there was Russian interference. Deceit. An MSM cloud to make Russia a fearful enemy to boost sales of everything MIC and push the NeoCon agenda of USA hegemony. /

Facebook to give Congress Russian-linked 2016 election ads

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on Thursday that the social media company will turn over to Congress thousands of ads believed to have been bought by Russian agents attempting to influence last year’s presidential election. Facebook officials said earlier this month that more than 3,000 ads were uncovered that ran between 2015 and 2017 and appeared to have come from a Russian entity that aimed to influence the election.

If a hoax as Trump claims, Facebook founder/CEO Mark Zuckerberg must also be in on it.

No. The hoax is that facebook ads by Russians tipped the scales to Trump. I forget the numbers, but Hillary outspend Trump in advertising by tens of millions of dollars. A couple hundred thousand in facebook ads is like pissing in the ocean and claiming you altered the temperature.
