Yes....absolutely....but thats about 1% of the entire budget. It may sound big but when put in perspective. We are talking about the 7th largest economy in the entire world. 1.6 billion might be a HUGE deficit for a state like Colorado or Idaho...but not for California. The last couple of years we ran a surplus under Governor Brown. Budgets go up and down depending on revenue streams. Revenue is predicted to be slightly down this year thus...the 1% deficit. Brown is looking at ways to address that and he will. I have no concerns.

Not worried. The nation always looks to California for direction. We have the 7th largest economy in the entire world and 12% of the entire US population live here. People envy us and hate us because they aren't us....but hey....we already know that. It comes with being the best.

I certainly never envied California ever. There is nothing positive about California, most of all the people. Californians have delusions of grandeur. There are only 3 states on the west coast, and over 4 times as many on the east coast. California had zero to do with establish the United States. And based on liberal logic, you people stole the state from Mexico; so maybe you should get out. Just don't show up here.

Then you are the rarity. Poll after poll...California is always the favorite state in America. As for having anything to do with establishing the US....who gives a ****? Nobody alive today had anything to do with establish the United States. But California clearly sets the trend for the rest of the country.
