Considering how tightly Putin controls his people, this was a rather interesting statement to make on Russian TV.

Russian pol: US intel missed 'Russian intelligence' stealing 'the president of the United States'

On a Sunday panel show, a Russian politician said U.S. “intelligence missed it when Russian intelligence stole the president of the United States.”

Vyacheslav Nikonov, a member of the Russian parliamentary body, the Duma, made the remarks on the panel show “Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov.”

The focus of the episode was the decline of U.S. power in the world. In that context, said University of Virginia professor Allen Lynch via email, Nikonov was less stating the extent of Russia's involvement in the 2016 election, and more mocking the resulting chaos as emblematic of U.S. weakness.

“His point in making the remark was that if the U.S. can’t protect the integrity of its own electoral system, then how powerful can it really be?” wrote Lynch.

Though the U.S. intelligence community has unequivocally stated that Russian intelligence agencies hacked the Democratic National Committee and other political targets during the 2016 presidential campaign, Russian President Vladimir Putin has roundly denied the claim.

Last year only 9 states accepted Dept of Homeland Security aid in securing their electoral systems. Several Republican-led states outright refused any federal assistance owing to paranoia about Obama's support of Hillary Clinton in the presidential elections. Elections security: Federal help or power grab? Some state election officials say offers to aid the fight against hackers could lead to Washington taking greater control.

Of course there was no collusion between the Trump people and the Russians, we all know that, right?

This is called "Button Pushing".

Now that we have demanded war Putin is going to give it all he has, and that is a lot, he is very very good at using power.

"No puppet, no puppet, you're the puppet."

Republicans are exploiting the transfer function of the average American. The average American doesn't know the truth, they just see two polarizing sides and presume that they both have different perspectives on the same reality, which suggests that the truth is in the middle.

But the truth cannot be found in the middle ground between information and misinformation. The American democratic experiment relies upon a shared commitment to some measure of honesty.

Having forsaken that commitment, the Republican party is using lies and projection to give the impression of legitimacy. When Republicans win, Democrats cry gerrymandering. When Democrats win, Republicans cry voter fraud. While this looks symmetric to the uninformed observer, one of those cries has a lot more merit than the other.

The Republican party severed its last remaining tethers to reality for the sociopathic pursuit of unchecked political power. Democrats key mistake is expecting Republicans to be reasonable.

Last year the corrupt as hell Obama administration tried to illegally hack into multiple States voter registration databases, including Georgia's.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.co...tried-to-hack-their-election-systems.amp.html

Obama's DHS tried 10 seperate time to hack into their data-bases, so its sounds like these State Gov knew exactly who they were dealing with when they turned down this " protection ".

There's the bull **** fake news of Russian interference, and then there's the Obama administrations unprecdented attempt to undermine our democracy

You can keep your fake news, the Obama admin showed their asses and so did Hillary Clinton and the Dems. Thank god they lost

So you're pushing Russian propaganda now?

The number of states that took advantage of DHS's offer was 33, btw.

Of course in the US the elections allow the voters to control the government, and we all know that, right?

And of course there is zero evidence, not even a plausible thesis, that DHS would use DHS computers to hack into voting systems to steal an election for the Democrats. The premise is just unbelievably stupid. Let's say the IC wanted to do that. There is 0.0000000% chance they would start off the conspiracy using traceable accounts in the federal government.

It's hard for me to believe sometimes how something this dumb survived even one DAY of a news cycle.

Still waiting for you to make a connection between these two quotes.

All this talk, all this weeping and gnashing of teeth over the Russian threat to our electoral system, and NOT ONE SINGLE WORD about how AIPAC and Israeli interests have controlled the US government for years, by way of the electoral process and ordinary day-to-day legislative efforts.

From your article:

Denney also told the Post Register, “I don’t know what they [DHS] penetrated, or what they tried, I just know their IP address showed up as hitting our website. I don’t know what they were doing. It would have been nice if they had told us.”

Given that the Obama administration had the CIA and the NSA available, it seems odd that he would direct the Department of Homeland Security to hack anyone's system. And it is indeed odd, since there's no evidence that anyone actually tried any hacking--what the evidence does show is that one or more employees of DHS navigated to the entirely public web pages of these election offices. Anyone can do that, and when someone does, it's not "hacking."
