Relying on familiar tropes of “white genocide” and “demographic displacement,” white nationalist blogger Jason Kessler seeks notoriety with his "Unite the Right" march in Charlottesville, Virginia.
A relative newcomer to the white nationalist scene, Jason Kessler has made waves in his attempt to unseat Charlottesville’s only black city councilman and for his status as a bridge between a Virginia gubernatorial candidate and the Alt-Right. Relying on familiar tropes of “white genocide” and “demographic displacement,” Kessler has sought to parlay his status as a lonely dissenter in the “Capital of the Resistance” into notoriety on the larger far right circuit by organizing a second white nationalist rally in Charlottesville after the first, torchlit rally in May of 2017 made headlines.

The piece talks a bit about this Kessler character who was one of the major players at the Charlottesville march and how after having had some of his writings published by The Daily Caller "The Caller stated of Kessler “n light of his activism on the issue, we have mutually agreed to suspend our freelance relationship with him.”

But also in the piece there's this ...

Rumors abound on white nationalist forums that Kessler’s ideological pedigree before 2016 was less than pure and seem to point to involvement in the Occupy movement and past support for President Obama.

At one recent speech in favor of Charlottesville’s status as a sanctuary city, Kessler live-streamed himself as an attendee questioned him and apologized for an undisclosed spat during Kessler’s apparent involvement with Occupy. Kessler appeared visibly perturbed by the woman’s presence and reminders of their past association.

... if true, that's the part I found interesting.
What do you make of that ?
Either the guy is an equal opportunity provocateur or something more insidious.

I tend to think "unemployed guy with delusions of grandeur". Pretty typical for his ilk.

Hatred is generally the last refuge for people that suck at life and are too proud to acknowledge, much less overcome, the error of their ways.

I dunno. It all seems based on a couple tweets, one where he praised Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, "Obama and Clinton just demolished the Republican arguments on consecutive nights with two of the greatest speeches of this generation,” Kessler tweeted.
And another praising the nuclear deal with Iran, "“@BarackObama’s Nobel-worthy ploy for peace comes to fruition & @JohnKerry cements his legacy as a historic Secretary of State. #IranTalks.”

Neither one of those says much beside the 'Unite the Right' efforts. The guy might just be mercurial, and his anti-establishment feelings just gelling, or maybe he's mentally ill. He sure seems to be working hard at his alt.right mission, though.
But I bet it's not long before we hear the term 'false flag'.

Jason Kessler strikes me as the type of guy who pulls **** like this when he visits someone else's house:

Kinda reminds me of David Brock. Was a scum bag for the right, and then became a scum bag for the left. The consistent element is troubling.

That's the other thing.

Delusions of grandeur? Could be that simple.

Poking around a bit I saw this today also ...
Before anyone blows a gasket, yes ... it's from American Thinker
Blog: Something stinks about Charlottesville

Evidence is turning up from, of all places, the Southern Poverty Law Center, as well as Breitbart and others, that this character, Jason Kessler, who organized the suspicious and supposed Alt-Right demonstration in Charlottesville, Va. that blew up in everyone's face, is a cunning lefty holdover from the Occupy Wall Street movement and a former Barack Obama supporter. I smell Soros money, sabotage, and Democrat dirty tricks here.
I've been suspicious of the nature of the violence at this supposed Alt-Right demonstration since the news first began breaking. It is no secret that radical elements in the Democrat left have been routinely utilizing violence when it suits their purposes. We also know via secret tapings by Project Veritas that the Democratic Party has a semi-official director of dirty ops, Dick Creamer, who hires, trains, and emplaces professional disruptors to encounter, engage, and infiltrate conservative demonstrations to foment violence, assuring that the demonstrations then become the targets of negative media attention – naturally, against the conservative side. Creamer was caught on videotape boasting about his nefarious capabilities when he thought he was in friendly company.
...
There's still not enough evidence on the actual violence, other than the schizophrenic kid who ran over the woman, to make any kind of assessment as to who did what in the confrontations between the right-wing demonstrators and the surprisingly strong counter-demonstration. I have to wonder if this Kessler fellow, strong Barack Obama-supporter that he is, had a hand in making sure his Alt-Right marchers were clearly guaranteed to encounter a strong crowd of riled up counter-protesters as well. The reporting of Kessler's background, as well as that of Charlottesville mayor and Democrat activist Mike Signer and Vice Mayor Wes Bellamy, has convinced me that Charlottesville was a Democratic Party black operation, planned, organized, and carried out to its successful conclusion, to make the media portray all these conservative whites as stupid, racist, and violent. I believe that it was done by this soulless young man, who succeeded in selling himself to the dumb-bunny right-wingers as one of them.

I couldn't resist posting that last paragraph. Was that too trigger-ish?
