Ironically, this study is done by Trump's alma mater!

Not enough details of what the study considered and did not consider to really judge their opinion of it. Throwing a label of "Ivy League" on it doesn't really sway my opinion to automatically believe their findings. Ivy Leagues are "finding" all sorts of conclusions that don't stand up to scrutiny by those outside of the Hive Mind.

On an unrelated (yet kinda related) note. That Q&A video on the link demonstrates Jim Acosta's absolute lack of giving a **** about actually questioning and getting information as it demonstrates he wants his own ****ing podium. I wanted to punch that guy for interrupting the White House speaker before the guy could finish an answer to any and all questions...... and.. the Statue of Liberty is cool and all, but it's catchy line doesn't determine immigration policy.

I find it hard to believe that a prediction made 23 years out can be acccurate.

I guess this shows the power of knowing how to spin data. For example lets spin this data to be a positive:

- If we assume 500K less immigrants per year over 23 years that is 11.5 million more people here, excluding the children that can be reasonably expected. Probably making in closer to 20 million more people. If we assume half (conservative estimate) are working age that is 10 million more in the workforce. So that means according to this study that there will be about 5 million more Americans and immigrants employed. (10 million less the 4.6 million referenced above).

As to GDP being lower, the flipside is if you do the math that means that GDP per capita will actually rise thanks to this bill.

Those immigrants aren't just here performing jobs. They are also consumers and when they spend their wages, they create other jobs for other people.

Throw them out of the country and you have the ripple-effect of contraction. The report just quantifies the contraction.

And the people that would have had those jobs that are not here illegally would be consumers spending their money and creating other jobs for other people. So its a wash if illegals are persuaded to go elsewhere.

I'm going to assume that you simply mistyped Trump's name or copy/pasted wrong when you put your title up for the thread. I fixed it for you.
Yes, I did and couldn't correct it after-the-fact.
